Pros: Great bike to learn on. Cons: A little too small for larger riders.
The Honda XR100 is a good beginners bike. I suggest riders from the age of 12-15 ride this bike. The bike's motor can handle heavier riders, but the size of the bike can not.
The Honda XR100 has an overall score of a 9 on the rating table...
Pros: Easy to learn on, Very sturdy Cons: Small frame
I rode the Honda XR100R for the first time last summer. It was my first time on a dirtbike and I loved every minute of it. From my experience, the XR100R is the best bike to learn to ride on.
It was a very strong and well made bike. I ran...
Pros: Smooth, good handling Cons: clutch is messed up
I absolutely love Honda's 100R dirt bike. Over potholes and rocks it has one of the smoothest rides I've ever seen from a dirt bike. Personally I think Honda makes the best quality dirt bikes, and classic motorcycles of any company, even (I hate to say...
Pros: very fast, 5 speed manual transmission, great ride Cons: none
I decided to get a dirt bike. So when I was in the Honda dealer, I decided on the honda XR100R. Although this bike is really a bike for learners. when I got it I was a learner. its only a 1996 model so its not that old and we have only had a couple...
Pros: Great handeling and power for a 4 stroke Cons: the pick up of the CR is not there, not a bike for racing
We bought this motorcycle for our 11 year old son. We looked at many models including the TT125 by Yamaha, but for the money and reliability the XR100R was the better buy. The XR100R is the perfect size bike for younger riders and ladies. It has good...
Pros: Best torque you will ever find, Fast acceleration, Reliabilty Cons: Drum Brakes, That's it.....
Where do I start?? I recently bought a 2002 honda xr100 brand new straight from the dealership after reading a bunch of these reviews on here and doing a bit of my own research on other sites dedicated to this incredible bike. I was very ...
Pros: Good power for it's size, very reliable Cons: suspension is not so good
I purchased an Xr100R this past fall and i am extremely happy with it. This bike is very reliable. I' ve owned it for about 10 months now and have only had to do an occasional oil change. An XR can take anything you throw at it: trails, mx, mud, sand,...
4 years ago I bought a 2001 Xr100. It was brand new when I got it and I was in love the moment I saw it in my living room. I was 11 at the time, I am now 14 and I still enjoy my little XR100 the same I did when I first rode it, with the exception of a ...
Pros: great beginner bike, very versatile Cons: no disc brakes
I owned a 1996 XR 100 which essentially the same bike as the 2000 aside from the color. I rode this bike as a beginner bike and found it to be a great teacher. I got my 100 when I was 13. I rode it for about two and a half years and never really...
Pros: Smooth and pulling motor, SUPER reliable, great beginners' bike Cons: Small size, bad brakes and poor suspension
Two years ago I bought a new XR100 when I was up in Missouri visiting my uncle ( Who just happend to be a trials maniac! ) on his farm filled with miles and miles of trails. I figured this would be the ideal place to break in the engine and get used...
Pros: Reliable, tough, run nice, great starter Cons: A little on the slow side
The Honda XR100R is a nice reliable dirtbike for the amount of money it costs. Our family bought two of the 2000 models. They run nice, and you can trust them. We have ridden them very hard and they have not yet fallen apart (nowhere near there)....
Pros: I am a girl, and I love this bike Cons: Not for racing.
I am a 29 year old girrrrrl and I grew up riding dirt bikes. My Dad bought me a Honda Z50R when I was 7, and as soon as I became an adult with some spending money, I went back to the Honda line. The XR 100 is a great beginners bike, or a bike for a...
Pros: durable, great beginner bike Cons: rear shock inadequite
Our XR100R is a great bike all around. Relatively quiet, reliable, durable...no...indestructable, and relatively powerful. It's a great bike for trail riding, and beginning cycleists betweet about 12 and 14. Bigger passengers can still have fun, but a...
Pros: Fun! Easy to use! Rather inexpensive (compared to other brands)! And pretty fast for its size. Cons: The gear shifter is easily bent.
When I was looking for a dirtbike to buy, I went to many different stores and looked at many different bikes. I also went to many websites such as this one to find out which ones are the best. Through my research, I determined that Honda was one of...
Pros: It is a great bike for the woods. Cons: It does not have a lot of top end speed.
I currently own a 2000 Honda XR100R. I bought this motorcycle in January 2000 after selling my 1993 XR80R. I have had other 4 stroke dirt bikes, but nothing quite like this one. This bike is great for going up and down all sorts of hills. I have taken...
Pros: excelent beginners bike Cons: slightly hard suspention
the xr 100 has been my favorite in off road racing just for the reasons of how the 100 cc engine is such a powerhouse it is very light it is fast good in all terrain, requires little maintenance, is strongly built, and could do the impossible.this bike...
Pros: gain more power for a reasonable price Cons: it's not free
i bought a 1998 xr 100 for my son new. he loved it. after about half a year he was thinking about putting a new exhaust pipe on it for looks and power. after shopping we saw that the "AL Bakers XR's Only" was the best pipe for it. so i got...
Pros: Price/Rideability Cons: Low Life Clutch can't stand horsepower
Hey everyone brags about their bike, I do. This is worth bragging about. If you want I can send you a transcript of the videos I made with a buddy. We beat the living H@#^ out of that poor bike. I jump big time rocks, pull monster wheelies and ride them...
Pros: XR 100's are virtually industructable, super fun and chick's dig em'. Cons: If you weigh 195 Lbs. and are really thrashing, the spokes can pop.
The XR 100 is the ultimate dirt bike in the world, hands down. You can ride the things from age 9 to 70, and get the same grin on your face, year after year. You are probably asking yourself, what the heck is this crazy dude talkng about, an XR is a...
This bike has soft suspension and a low ride. it is great for trails. I rode it over the summer on bumpy trails and it took alot of the impact. although I am tall for my age this bike could easily fit a person 5' or under.since of the soft suspension,...
Pros: Pretty Fast for beginers Cons: suspensions sucks
This bike is good for trail riding. mx- Engine is good for motocross but you may need some aftermarket wheels and stiffer suspenison for the big jumps. Back yard riding- It has lors of low end power and handles good for quick turns. Brakes are good...
Pros: Great overall bike, bullet-proof, will go through anything Cons: none yet
This bike rocks...it has GREAT power considering the size, and with a few after market mods this bike will rip through anything, WELL worth the price, i considered a ttr-125 because of the bigger engine, but believe me, i rode one and there's not much...
Pros: very light for a dirt bike Cons: Breaks a lot
I have a Honda XR100 its a 95 I like it. I like the fact that it is light so it is easier to ride wheelies I bought it used and it didn't look that bad it runs good and all but for some reason a piece broke off and now the shifting is all messed up I...

Pros: Pretty fast, lot's of power, looks good, and its not a gas guzzler. Cons: Not good in the sand, can't jump very well, the frame is not very sturdy.
I have a 99 Honda XR100R . Its good for riding for the first few months but it wears out fast. I don't like the way it handles in the sand or loose gravel or dirt. Its frame is not very sturdy my handle bars always bend and my clutch breaks to easy.

Pros: Cheap, powerfull, speedy, and they look awesome (not to mention unbreakable) Cons: Could use a little more top end
I am 13 years old and recently purchased the 2002 Honda XR100R in fall of 2001 and I haven't been able to get off it since. I live in Kelowna, BC and the winters here are averaging -5 to -15 but I still ride my bike almost everyday. I have a few friends...
I think it is a very reliable bike. It can handle anything. Its not the fastest thing in town but it is a 4-cycle. I know it will outlast anyones bike around here. These bikes are unbreakable. The best part is it wont clean out your wallet, there not...
great bike for beginners and young experienced riders by crazy_mike_14 ,Jul 10 '04
Pros: has power good shoks rides smooth and is a good beginner bike Cons: small frame and the drum brakes or not that good
I got my honda xr100 2 months ago and it is a awsome bike
it was my first bike i did not know how to ride but i learnd on this bike it is a great beginner bike but it has a small frame but can hold alout of weight it is a fast bike for a 100 it went about 48 mph with me on it and i weigh 195pounds its small for me but its because im 5.9 if your about 5.5 or shorter it would be perfect i buyt mine used if you wunt a honda xr100 i say go buy one this bike is great for young experienced riders and beginners.
Pros: Power is great, comfortable, light 150 pounds, quiet, small and compact Cons: back suspension is only 3.9 inches and bottoms out, to small for big riders
I got this bike almost 3 years ago for Christmas and I have put a lot of abuse on it and it runs like it came out of the box even though my dad got it for $1500 on e-bay. It was 2 years old. I have taken this bike to Hollister and Stonyford. It performed well in tempuratures exceding 32 degrees. And it performs well in hot tempuratures like 110 degrees. It's power is nice and it is realable, even though you have to pull it apart every once in a while, like I recently had to pull the engine apart to check it. It turned out to be a lose exahst cover. Then I cleaned out the air filter because the power was low. Then I put in a new sparl plug. after that the power went up. I can now pull wheelies in 2nd gear. Over all it is a GREAT bike and it is VERY fun to ride. I also ride my dads XR250R which has a lot of power, but is heavy anf tall.
Pros: great power, reliable Cons: shifter bends easily, spokes break easily, clutch messes up,bolt come loose a lot, drum brakes barley stop you
i have a 2000 XR100. i got it from a pawn shop for 1000 dollars. all it needed was a air filter and a oil change and some gas.it runs great and after a couple weeks i bought a k&n air filter.it made it go a little faster and got some more power.i took it to a track and jumped it and i got pretty high and cleared a table top jump. i haven't crashed it yet.the engine bolts come loose a lot. once i was riding it and the chain came off and hit the engine and cracked the clutch cover.now every time i try to start it it takes forever to start and sometimes i have to push start it.right now it is sitting under my carport with no front wheel on it for about three months now and is still sitting there.and one of the spokes broke off of the rear tire.
this is a great bike. this was my first time on a manual tranny and i love it. the bike has a wide ratio gearbox that can pull you up a huge hill or push you to speeds around 50 mph. great for any kind of surface. i hav a 03 model which is about the same as an 00 cept for the color. the bike is easy to upgrade at www.xr100.com or www.twobros.com at these sites you can inject all kinds of power into this bike. my bike starts easy and never stalls. if you think it bottoms out too easy you can buy tougher shocks for it. i would reccomend this bike to anyone. its best for ages 11-17 or 18 depending on your size. the engine can handle heavy riders but the shocks cant. this bike is fun for adults, too. i was 13 when i bought it and am now 14. i hav loved it ever since. if you hav any questions about this bike e-mail me or IM me at disabilitized25.
