Pros: Excellent Engine and Handling Cons: Foot Pegs Out Front
I owned a 1990 Vulcan 750, which even then was an older model. Actually this bike was introduced in 1985 as a 700cc, and raised to 750cc a year or two later, after that nothing much changed other than the colors.
Pros: Ample power, smooth ride, nice fit. Cons: None, really.
I bought my 2003 Vulcan 750 three weeks ago. I was actually determined to buy a 500 LTD but as usual, the salesman tried to steer me toward a bigger more expensive bike. I shrugged off his suggestion, but eventually looked the 750 over. It was almost...
Pros: Full instrumentation, maintenance stand and sidestand, foot pegs Cons: No rear disc.
I am 49 this month, 5' 6" tall, 162 lbs. Look, I know this is probably going to be a novel so consider yourself forewarned. I'm doing this write-up because I think magazines can be slanted but when real people with the real machine and real world usage...
Pros: Practical, great value, high tech design for a cruiser Cons: Lack of aftermarket accessories, retro 1980's looks
I'm a big Star Trek fan, and got a real kick when I heard a good friend of mine was buying a bike called the "Vulcan". I'd never heard of the model before.
For non-trekkies, the Vulcans are an alien race on Star Trek that are known for being...
Pros: Dependable motor and drivetrain, nice handling and braking, quality components Cons: awful seat, dated styling
I bought my Vulcan 750 about three years ago when I decided to begin riding again after a long absence from motorcycling. Once my kids were grown and on their own, I came on the Kawasaki through a casual conversation with a muscle car fan. He had this ...
Pros: Great power and brakes, very smooth and easy to ride Cons: Seat and lack of accessories
I bought this bike as a new left-over 2001. I can see from reading these reviews that most VN750 owners love this bike and a few are less than satisfied. I can sympathize with the few about crappy dealer support, it can easily destroy your riding...
Pros: Shaft Drive,Liquid Cooled,Self-Adjusting Valves,Alloy Wheels,Full Instrumentation,"Outdated" Styling. Cons: Consistently Bashed in Magazine reviews, for its "Outdated' Styling.
I'm sure intergallactic space travel aboard the Starship Enterprise, would pale in comparison to the fun I'm having on my Earthbound Vulcan. I picked up this Dream Machine on 01-06-03, and just dropped it off at the Dealer for its 500 mile service, ...
Pros: Price, Performance, Looks. Ride position Cons: seat, and no rear disc
Yes I say this is the best of the kawasaki line! I have bought two 750s and loved them so much that I thought the enchantment was the name kawasaki. It wasn't. I bought a 1500 vulcan and before I finished the ride home with my new purchase, I was...
Pros: Reliability, Comfort, Style, Strong Accel Cons: Lack of bolt on accessories
I currently own a 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan 750, and would buy another one in a heart-beat. This bike is the perfect blend of style and reliability. The bike is a great commuter AND trip-taker. It rides smooth and easy in practically all road conditions. ...
Pros: price, features, performance Cons: sort of weird-looking by today's standards, weak rear brake, fuel capacity could be better
I've had my 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 about a month now and I just went over 1000 miles. I am very happy with this bike. I have had no problems. The engine is very smooth. I bought the Vulcan 750 primarily for it's features: shaft drive, low...
Pros: Handling, ride position, power, comfort and passenger comfort. Cons: Not a selection of bolt on parts
I've only been riding this bike for just over a week. I spent the entire winter thoroughly shopping every touring/cruiser bike out there. Originally set out for Honda Shadow 1100 or Suzuki Intruder. This bike has just about everything you could ask...
Pros: Price, chopperesque style, full instrumentation, easy to ride, smooth strong motor with deep sounding exhaust. Cons: Seat, ugly motor, rust, rear drum brake, lack of aftermarket parts, LACK OF QUALITY!!!
I've owned my Vulcan 750 since October 1997. It is my first and only motorcycle. I wish I could say it's been a wonderful experience, but it hasn't. I like the bike a lot when it works, but I've had 2 major problems. One of which dealership mechanics...
Pros: Shaft Drive, low maintenance engine, tubeless tires Cons: Tank size, Warranty Support
I bought my 750, Sue E, in early March and only have about 1500 miles on her so far. I had her tricked out the Touring Package-fairing, windshield, hard bags, etc. from Kawasaki.
I get between 46 and 53 mpg. The bike has a huge fun-per-gallon...
Pros: Styling, manuverability & handling, seat height, balance. Cons: Lack of Company support for their products
I bought a 2001 Kawasaki 750 Vulcan new from the dealer. Handling and Balance were major factors in the decision to buy the bike. The seat height is great for shorter riders. Women love the fact that they can sit on the bike flatfooted and that the bike ...
Pros: Handles well, great acceleration, good instrumentation, high mount speedometer, tachometer, center kickstand, inexpensive Cons: Poor support from dealer on accessories,, Poor availability of aftermarket parts, small gas tank
The first time I saw a Vulcan 750 in the new motorcycle showroom, I thought what is that old motorcycle doing in here? After swinging my 6'3" frame over the sweet looking modern machines, I figured it out. The 750 was a machine made for a man, not a ...
Pros: Cant think of anything ...... Cons: Pile of low quality junk.
My new bike seems to spend more time in the shop than on the road ( around 7 weeks out of 12 so far ) ...and as for Kawasaki ....... they may keep fixing (in their own good time) ..... but they don’t really care or accept responsibility for how long it...
Pros: features, power, maintenance costs are low Cons: can't think of any
wow. I love it. Shaft driven (no chain maintenance), hydraulic adjusters (no valve adjustments), mag wheels (no spoke tuning or inner tube), center stand, lots o'gauges, comfy seat, relaxing riding position, rubber mounted engine (no harsh vibration),...
Pros: Sun in the hair...comfort...nicely built..built to last... Cons: No complaint
I have always owned a motorcycle. Motorcycles are the cheapest means of transportation. I used one when I was in high school. I kept my Yamaha until after I secured a good job. Then I bought another bike. This time, it was a Kawasaki. I have...
Pros: Features, gauges, low maintance.Good gas mileage Cons: Minor things, personal prefences;seat, grips, etc.
This is my second 750 vulcan.I like all the features of this bike.I also changed the seat.I bought an 1986 vulcan 750 used rode it for a year the stator needed to be replaced. When I went to buy a new stator, I saw a 1999 vulcan 750 on sale.Bought it on...
Pros: Does a wide variety of things very well Cons: Is looked upon with "disdain" by most in the "cruiser crowd"
I bought my 02 Vulcan in Dec. 01 as a pre-retirement gift to myself on the advice on my son. He told me that the bike had just about everything that I had wished for on a cruiser. How right he was! All one really needed to add was a windshield and a ...
Pros: reliability, technology, power, handling Cons: seat, lack of after market parts
This is my first motorcycle and I absolutely love it. The seat (or maybe my butt) could use some work, my backside gets numb after more than an hour on the saddle. I'm very happy with all the technology, shaft drive, fuel guage, tach, hydraulically...
Pros: Liquid cooling, center stand, instrumentation, comfort & power. Cons: Aside from some now solved technical issues, NONE!
I spent approximately 4 years looking at motorcycle magazines checking out the specs, technology and the general styling of bikes. I originally wanted something around 900 - 1000 cc but could not find a bike with all the goodies that I wanted. Then I...
Pros: POWER !!faster than most 1500's (eats 800's for lunch) Cons: no such thing as after market parts/Accessories!!!
I bought this bike 3 years ago and have had "0" problems with it other than the lack of after market parts, the seat is not good for long trips so look at mustang or Corbin I got the Corbin (looked better in my opinion).
The bike is rock solid and dependable I wont hesitate to ride across the country on the thing, and trust me I ride far and hard the thing I like the most about the bike is the power and the second most liked thing about it is the fact that it is not you're typical cookie cutter Harley want to be! Be warned this bike must be hated by the aftermarket company's hate it other than seats and windshields you pretty much got to make the things you want cause their just isnt much out their for it!
1990 Vulcan 750 - Awesome!!! by bulldog485 ,May 01 '04
Pros: Awesome power, comfortable riding position, great dependable bike. Cons: A little cramped with two up.
I purchased my 1990 Vulcan 750 in 1995 used. Over the past nine years, I have been updated it and working on it. I love this bike!!! I have never had a more dependable motorcycle and one that is as much fun to work on as this one... The common complaint here is that there is a lack of bolt on accessories. This is true, but who wants your bike to look like everyone elses? Check out http://www.breyn.com/vn750 and see for yourself.
'99 Vulcan w/custom pipes_"Tupal" by tupal ,Nov 20 '08
Pros: Great engine, shaft-driven, DOHC, liquid cooled. Cons: Rear drum, could use extra gear for hwy.
I just ended up w/mine after trading my project car for it! Of course it's got some miles, 20k, it's been very well taken care of, and I'm totally in love***! The custom pipes really give her the sound and extra hp she deserves. Some people might not like the way it resembles a sportster, I, myself think it was an awsome idea to utilize the very same principles that made the sportster appealing and built on them. I would have to say they eliminated alot of the problems harleys are known for, not to disrespect anyone, but for the money, w/out continuously having to take down and work on it, the motorcycle clearly is one of the best! I've been riding over 35 years, raced motocross 7yrs. and I know a good bike when they make one. Kawasaki still excites the soul after all these years! I will definitely keep riding kawasakis as long as they keep producing quality machines~Charles~ North Carolina
