Pros: fast, cheap, and comfortable for 1 Cons: uncomfortable for 2
I bought my Katana 750 in June of '99 and I love it to death. It rides great and has had no problems since I've had it. It now has 32,000 miles and counting. The only reason it was in the shop since I've had it was because I layed it down after someone...
Pros: This bike is a good price & good value. Cons: It shows it weight in whatever you do.
Reliability: This is actually a pretty reliable bike. Now a days it is nearly impossible to find a bike that isnt reliable if taken care of. Maintenance is fairly easy to do. You do have to use the aluminum foil trick when changing your oil to avoid ...
Pros: looks good on paper Cons: something's broken always
I've owned my 2000 Katana 750 for 7 months. It has been in the shop for warranty work for a total of 2 months. Electrical problems causing all instruments to fail as well as break light and turn indicators started 2 months after purchase. Two trips...
Pros: smooth power delivery, effective brakes, confident handling Cons: below average pillion comfort
I purchased my GSXF 750 (as this model is known in Australia) new in April 2000. I had 1 years' riding experience on a smaller bike, and the Katana was recommended to me by my bike shop as a suitable first "large" bike for my 187cm (6'1")...
Pros: Great Riding Position
Power
Stability
Cons: Could use more oomph in terms of looks
This was my second bike and I loved it. It is stable, reliable and boy is it powerful. It is great for long rides, highway riding as well as around the city. The semi upright riding position is much more suitable for your back - you can move the handle...
I bought a left over 1999 Katana as a first bike. I'm 6' 2" tall and this is one of the few bikes I can fit comfortably. Plus the price is great. Most entry level 600 cc sportbikes cost $3000 more.
Pros: Nice all around Bike for Big Guys and power to Blow away any speed limits Cons: Does not have a Bigger Brother to go up to (1100)
Ok .Lets do a fast recap... of my riding experiences...
I'm almost 43 and still like to have power to get my adrenaline high when i need one....
I'm Riding since i had 10 years old and had all kinds of bikes...
I'm also a big guy(6 Feet...
Hey I bought a 2001 Katana 750 last weekend. Man this is an awsome bike, 750cc engine its not your average 750cc. Most bikes are hard to ride becasue of the comfort level, But with the katana 750 suzuki has made sure to make comfort a issue. This bike is...
Pros: Great handling, fabulous looks, good high end power Cons: Not too great low end power
I got the 2001 Suzukia Katana 750, silver color. I have had tons of people on the street oggle and ask me about my bike. Needless to say, it looks really great. It also looks big for a 750 (for those of you wanting a bigger bike but are...
Pros: LOVE THE FEEL OF THE BIKE Cons: IT'S POOR HISTORY
I have test drove one of these babies and I loved it!!! I can ride this bike for days. I has very good handling and above average speed. When I first rode the bike I was expecting a Driving Ms. Daisy type ride...I was mistaken. I felt like I could ride...
Pros: Blue looks good, sleek fairings, good performance. Cons: Too heavy to be a starter bike.
Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of seat of the pants comparison experience when it comes to riding a motorcycle. However, I do have the first-bike, new rider point-of-view for the 1999 Suzuki Katana 750. I purchased the bike new about a year and a...
great first bike for the price by kiko2k ,Jun 28 '05
Pros: You could find them cheap. Good learning bike. Cons: Hard to find upgrades besides yoshi pipes.
Great bike to get if you want to break into sport bikes. It's cheap to buy used. I know the ninja 500 is cheaper but you'll most likely out grow in a few months. Two of my cousins learned to ride on this bike and now are very good on liter bikes.
GREAT FIRST rocket (so to speak)!!!! by jon_boy ,Sep 05 '04
Pros: 4 second 0-60 mph and 12 second 1/4 mile, do you need more than that? Cons: not enough money to add all the upgrades that are available; exhaust, windscreen, etc
I just purchased my 2000 kat 750 about two weeks ago with 8200 miles on it and love it! Yeah, it is heavy, but you get what you pay for. If you want a 350 lb bike, spend 2000 bucks more; if you want a bike to have fun on without breaking you bank and don't really give a care for reaching 60 mph faster than 4 seconds, by all means get a kat. I love mine! About it being a lemon, not so, they just had a bad bike, apparently the previous owners dogged it. And about the handling being bad because the center of gravity being high up: well first of all it a CROTCH ROCKET AND NOT A CRUISER! A cruiser is like 6 inches lower by all means compared to a kat...
To conclude- I used to drive a 1994 magna 750 a while back and i liked it, but i love my 750 kat! GET ONE!@#!@#
