    Dec 1, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: she's a Twin, Price, Reasonable handling
    Cons: Lots o' lard.

Summary: Hey, Good Lookin' (not) Another Suzuki that has been given a severe walloping with the Ugly Stick. The only other bike that offends the optical nerves to a similar degree is the Hayabusa. If Rubens had been a motorcycle designer, the ... read more

Pros: Awesome sounding with yosh pipes.

    Flickable in the twisties.
    Very sexy looking !
Cons: Runs hot in stop n go traffic.
Only bout 135 miles to a tankful.

Summary: I was never a Suzuki fan... I always rode Kawasaki and the occasional Honda, but I always liked the looks of the TLR. So after blowing the motor on my re-worked ZX-11, I went shopping for a ZX-12 and hidden in the corner was the '02 TLR priced at 4k. ... read more

Pros: Massive power, very customizable, perfect for track or street.

  • What a Treat

    Nov 13, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Power, Performance, Handling
Cons: Pipes heat right up in traffic. Uses lot's of fuel if you go fast.

Summary: I bought my TL1000R 1 year ago and haven't looked back since. I looked around at all other big bike's for sale at the time such as the R1, GSXR 1000, and the ZXR 9. I was not even interested at the TL1000r until I took one for a ride. The power, ... read more

  • The "Beast" Unleashed!

    Mar 18, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Strong Twin motor, sweet exhaust note (w/aftermarket pipes), and a road grabbing suspension.
Cons: A definite knee slapper unless you're experienced with heavyweights or a 200 pounder.

Summary: This Superbike comes with one of the strongest race inspired twins ever created (121hp at the rear wheel-MotorCyclist Magazine). I own a 2001 TL1000R in the Hornet Yellow. The twin sounds and performs best with aftermarket exhaust and air filter systems. ... read more

  • gotta love that sound

    Sep 7, 2001 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: v-twin sound and power, most comfortable seat of all sport bikes, tourable even
Cons: needs to go on a diet, solo seat cowl tends to come loose

Summary: This is my second bike, so when I went shopping I looked at everything from Honda to Yamaha. The TLR's appearance and sound is what first caught my eye. The aero-dynamics of this bike are awesome. The exhaust pipes are even raised up and tucked in to ... read more

  • TL1000R: Like a Trained Vegas Tiger

    Dec 10, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Fast and Very Powerful, Good Handling
Cons: Really Large, Has to be Driven not Ridden

Summary: This brute even looks intimidating. It's Suzuki's latest V-Twin answer to the liter bike craze. This bike hasn't really changed much over the last three model years. I suppose Suzuki has kept busy updating their Gixxer 750 and now the 600 and 1000. It ... read more

  • Not bad at all.

    Oct 8, 2000 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: Fast, sexy and powerful
Cons: I hate the cowell. It looks like a bee's bum.

Summary: Well, this bike has changed my opinion about Suzuki's. I am a Kawasaki rider and for as long as I have been riding, I have hated Suzuki's. I think the only reason why is that Kawasaki and Suzuki's are the biggest rivals in the sport bike world. ... read more

  • Budget Ducati Killer

    Jun 22, 2000 by

Pros: Power power and more power.
Cons: Gets confused for a GSXR, very annoying.

Summary: I can't remember how many motorcycles I've owned, perhapse 16 in my lifetime. I traded in my 1997 Ducati 900SS on a new TL1000R and not a single day has gone by that has made me regret this decision. The Suzook has some really high tech components and ... read more

Pros: Awesome power & handling, awesome build quality
Cons: No track nearby for me to rip up!

Summary: I bought this motorycle simply because it was designed to be a world-beating v-twin race bike and it had the looks to back it up. I have had this bike now for one year and have put 3,000 miles on it, and it still does not cease to amaze me. It has gobs ... read more

Summary: After ten years of riding ( honda 750 night hawk/ suzuki kat 600 ) I wanted to move to a larger more satisfying ride. And landed on a tl1000r. By far this is the best bike I have ever ridden( been aboard honda's XX,suzuki's gsxr 750, ducati's 916 ). Not ... read more
