Pros: Comfortable, Fast, Handles great, Unique, Monster torque Cons: Seat is a little hard and pushes you toward tank.
This is my story. When the Triumph Speed Triple first hit the market I thought it was the ugliest thing ever made and I would have never even considered the thought of owning one. I had been riding for the past 3 years a 2000 Ducati 900ss which was a ...
Pros: A taut handling, good looking bike with truckloads of character. Cons: Quite Pricy, Tippy-Toe Traffic Light Tendencies for the Vertically Challenged
I last rode a Triumph in 1973. My Dad had a beautiful blue-and-cream Bonneville 650 which I thought was the prettiest bike on the road at the time. I still remember how the old parallel twin pulled hard on a handful of revs, growling purposefully as the...
Pros: Excellent performance, looks and ergonics. Fair price. Cons: City commutes are a challenge due to its sporty nature.
I like bikes, alot. I last wrote about my '96 VMax which finally started to have gearbox problems after 27,000 miles (it still runs well, but under hard acceleration will grind and slip in second gear). After seeing the fair market value quoted at ...
Pros: Power, handling, reliability and crowd stopping looks. Not lemmings.... Cons: Stock seat is the pits, and the suspension is a bit stiff for city living.
I’ve owned my 1999 Speed Triple for 18 months now and in that time I’ve put 9K nearly flawless miles on it (I picked the bike up used with 4K miles). But before I get into my Roulette Green (or Slurpee Green as a friend described it) beast I must give a...
Pros: Unique looks, great power and excellent handling. Cons: The seat's a brick. Make that a plank. Not thick enough for a brick.
I have a 2000 Triumph Trophy 900, which is a very good sport/touring bike. I wanted to get another bike that would be a combination of city bike, sport bike and naked bike. I got a 2000 Triumph Speed Triple.
Pull up to a stoplight on a Speed Triple and I DARE you to not get noticed. From the guy in the pick-up, to the woman at the gas station, to the unsuspecting R1 rider in the other lane -- they can't help but stare at the S3.
Pros: Characterful, ride one and find out! Cons: None
This is Triumph at it's best, lean, mean, loud and proud.
Not just a naked Daytona T955, more than that.
A bike that is easy to ride with excellent feedback for control, good riding position, great in towns, you can see over all those cars....
Pros: Three cylinders, easy drive, powerful engine Cons: So ... expensive!!!
In Italy, this cycle has got a big result in sells.
A friend of mine is a lucky driver of a wonderful Speed Triple "Special", he customized his motorbike as like an Harley!
Nothing too much excessive, just more aluminium in some...
Pros: Looks, Motor, Ease of operation Cons: Suspension
I just bought a 2000 speed triple and I love it. The following is a list of pros and cons:
First of all the appearance. Can you tell me a bike that looks better? I know it's all personal opinion, but I have been around bikes since I was six...
Pros: It is definately the best ride at the lowest cost! Cons: It was difficult to find large saddlebags to fit
I love it truthful, you can have a feeling of wind when you take it on the
highway,it fit most of young man who like adventure ,The only shop time this bike has seen was because of a short in the starting system and luckily when I told the shop what...
Triumph - The Dogs Bullochs!!! by mightymind ,Aug 12 '05
Pros: Handling, more torque then you will ever need even, great for highway and city. Cons: The seat must go, have to get used to the aesthetics.
I have a Ducati Monster, which is simply gorgeous and my Speed triple. In every category of motorcycle riding the Triumph is superior. Once you settle down from your exuberance from the massive torque, you will come to notice the fantastic handling. The bike is ideal for tall riders, I am 6 feet tall. I cant give you a perspective of the short rider, sorry. The handling is tight and great for nice long rides although the stock seat must be replaced. Even with the Corbin upgrade you still get pushed forward a bit.
