Pros: A great bike overall a racebike Cons: Not a good trail bike
This bike is a very fast bike. The bike pulls wheelies 1-3 gear with no hesitation. When you see the 80cc racing class it is rare to find the yz80 in the back of the pack because of its sheer power and handling. About me (to assure the quality of the ...
Pros: Fast, Fun to ride, and perfect size for me Cons: Doesn't clean itself

In the YZ80's case, it's simply a matter of doing what it does best — winning. At every level of racing from local tracks to the World Mini Grand Prix. Also, with its hard-hitting, liquid-cooled 83cc two-stroke, smooth 6-speed gearbox, class-leading...
Pros: Weight, suspension, speed Cons: It is Yamaha it has none
When mentioning an 80cc 2 stroke the most common name that pops up is YZ. The reason for this is obvious. The fact is the YZ 80 is the best minibike on the market. When I say this it is not coming from a Yamaha buyer but from a consumer.

Why Buy Anything Else When You Can Buy This? by slaterson ,Nov 30 '03
Pros: 26mm carb, lots of suspension and 6 speed trani Cons: smaller bore than an 85, smaller stroke than 85
I just got my first "YZ" and i will never go back. this bike never brakes and is very fast. You can also get lots of performance parts for it to make it super FAST!!! This bike is high revving at 12,000 RPM and has a huge power band. This bike was the bike of the year 2 years in a row until Yamaha started making the 85.With 10 inches of Suspention in the back and almost 11 inches in the front this bike can handle any jump landing. If you get a chance to buy one, buy it!
Pros: Fast Awsome bike with good aftermarket options. Cons: Kevlar sleeve
Mine is absolutly AWSOME, especially with the pro circuit pipe/Silencer and VForce Reed Valves. The only downside is that in the 2000 the cylinder is coated in kevlar and after your first piston you have to get it resleaved but after that I have 6 pistons left before I have to get a new Jug.
