Pros: Reliability, Handling, Torque, and Smooth-Transmission Cons: Choke Location and Steps for Reverse
I used to ride ATV's back in the 80's and I owned several (230 Quadsport, 250 Quadracer, Fourtrax 250R), but I stopped riding in 1991. I decided to get back into ATVing and started doing research and shopping around. I eventually bought a 2004 300EX ...
Pros: Great Handling, Sporty Performance, Reverse, Very Reliable Cons: Dated Design, Metal Gas Tank.
You want a sport quad, but you don't know if you are ready for the power of the 400ex quite yet, but you have ridden a kid's quad, or a utility quad, and know how to ride. What to get? For many people in this situation, the answer is Honda's 300ex! The...
Pros: Great low and mid range and great suspension Cons: choke location and reverse procedure
I have the 300EX now for about a month. Right off the bat I noticed that it has great pull right off the bottom, continues into the mid-range, but flattens out on top. The suspension is excellent, as well as the handling. I would like to talk to the guy...
Pros: Great Handling, Sporty Performance, Reverse, Very Reliable Cons: Dated Design, Metal Gas Tank.

Its reliability rivals that of Honda's famous XR line of dirtbikes. You simply cant stop it! Ive seen these things run into the ground by people... Plastics falling off, bald tires, and yet the engine starts...
Have you ever just been on a quad thats just plain fun? Well the 300ex is on of them. One thing that I like about the 300ex is that, it as reverse. And if you ride on trails as much as me you know you need reverse. The ex has great handeling, exspecially...
Pros: Acceleration, handeling, has reverse Cons: metal gas tank, reverse procedure, location of choke
This quad has awesome suspension letting you go over jumps without bottoming out. Its has excellent acceleration and enough torque to lift a wheelie in the first few gears. The other great thing about this quad is it's razor sharp handeling that is great...
Pros: Very underestimated in power and nimbleness. Cons: maybe not enough power for those who love performance.
Over all i think the 300ex is a great all around quad. It is nimble for tight trail riding but has good enough suspension for mx tracks. Through the trails you can wiz and just encase you make a mistake you can put it in reverse. It handles great in the...
Pros: acceleration, handeling, has reverse and powerful headlight Cons: metal gas tank, reverse procedure
The 300EX is a great quad for those who want speed acceleration and plain old fun.The reason the 300EX is such a good quad is the acceleration that has enough torque to pull a wheelie in the first few gears, the speed that will get you up to 60mph with...
Pros: quick, snappy, handling, power, easy to wheelie down the road Cons: tires have no bite, small gas tank, choke location, reverse procedure
I recently purchased a 300EX and I must say that this quad rips! I live in a place where there are huge hills to climb and if ur scared then u wont really ride. i thought that the 300EX wouldnt have wat it takes to make it up the hills. I took it...
Pros: Great Looks, Suspension, low end and jumping capabilities Cons: choke, reverse mechanism, performance parts availability
The 300 ex is my first real sport atv and I love everything about it. Very dependable user friendly machine. I switched from a motocross bike to have something that would not beat me up as much, and I am positive I have made the right choice. 100% fun....
great quad for trail riding by conroydylan ,Jun 01 '08
Pros: tons of aftermarket parts, great for trail as well as track, reliable, easy to use Cons: confusing reverse
The 300ex is a great all-around quad, although some say that it is a little short on power it has pulled me up every hill I have ever encountered with ease. It has loads of torque and can easily pull and hold wheelies in just second gear.
If I had to recommend a quad for a moderate all-around quad I would recommend the 300ex. It has amazing handling and great acceleration for trail and track. I would say the only problem I have had is that the reverse is a little tricky to use but is easy to get used to with practice.
