Pros: Great mechanics, well balanced, great ergonomics, reliable, beautifully designed, and a joy to ride. Cons: On the heavy side, factory de-tuning at 2,500-5k rpm and heavy exhaust silencer.
First off I would like to explain that I have yet to read a review about this bike written by someone who actually understands the last generation of Daytona 955cc motorcycles. There are some very important changes that took place in 2002 that need to be ...

Pros: Character driven, performance orientated, with a motor that renders the senses addicted. Cons: Hard to stop riding
The Triumph 2002 Daytona is an amazing piece of engineering art. Basically, it does not look or sound like anything out there. The paint is understated, the components are top shelf, and the shape is functional.
Suspension performance is...

Pros: Sportbike performance, the Triumph name Cons: Cheaper bikes perform better, EXTREMELY stiff throttle return spring. Right hand was in agony.
Well, I had a chance to ride a Triumph Daytona 955i this weekend (May 4, 2003). I met a friend up at a local biker hangout, and he wanted to try out my V65 Sabre before I sold it. He let me ride is Triumph. We rode some country backroads and took it easy ...

life begins at 150mph
by daytwithspeed ,Jan 21 '04
Pros: Torque, sex appeal, grrrooowwwwlll Cons: a little taller then the norm
I have owned a few Jap bikes, even a Ducati, and I have to be honest...nothing rieds like my Daytona. It really offers something that none of the other bikes can, Dont get e wrong, its not the fastest bike I've owned, but it is without a doubt, my go-to bike. It has a ton of style, torque that runs the whole powerband, not just the high rpm's, and that sound...well, if you've ever heard a formula one car, than you know what this bird sounds like!
I have done a few mods to mine, and I'm in the process of buying a speed triple, possibly the funnest bike ever built.
Enjoy, and remember that life begins at 150mph. Dont be scurred, just go.

It is a Hyper Sport
by m0m0 ,Oct 20 '03
Pros: It is a Triple, It has Grund, It's a Triumph Cons: Can't stop loving it
This is my second Triumph Daytona (after the 1999 Daytona 955i) and the 2002 version with the DSSA (Double Sided Swing Arm and 20HP more) is without any doubt the fastest and most stable Triumph Daytona ever. And although the SSSA (Single Sided Swing Arm) looks gorgeous (but not on the edgy model of the 2002 model) is the double sided more stable and also a lot lighter.
And fitted with the Factory High Level Carbon Race Exhaust, this bike is a really performance bike.
And despite all the latest Japanese invention to turn a street bike into a track machine, the Daytona is still very hard to beat. On and off the Track.
