I have been so happy with my 2002 Royal Star Midnight Venture! The longer I own it, the more I love it! It has great power and always gets great comments. It is obvious that Yamaha took close aim at H-D with this bike. We bought it due to our local dealer being so great over the years prior to this purchase. Plus, there is more room on the back seat for my wife than the H-D. Not to mention liquid cooling over air cooling and the Five Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty. I do have a few gripes, but nothing you cannot change or just live with. Listed below.

I have had many bikes is my day. I am now 48. I was looking for something smoother and a little more passenger friendly for the wife. I sat out with the intentions of buying a Gold Wing BUT!!! I saw the Venture sitting on the floor (used). At first I didn't like the looks of it. Didn't like the retro looking speedo. The price was good at $10,500. Just couldn't make myself pay the price for the Gold Wing so I bought the Venture. I have never been so pleased. This bike has all the bells and whistles you can ask for and has great power also. The more I ride it the more I like it.Especially the electronic cruise. The stereo is better than Honda.
My wife said the back seat was more comfortable than her Ford Expedition (that's saying something) We are having a blast now that she goes on evening rides. I am totally satisfied with every aspect of this bike. It looks sharp and the ride is as smooth as I have ever had. Riding for hours seems like minutes. LUV IT!
