Pros: Excellent performance, Attractive design, Standard equipment and options galore. Cons: Options can get costly, Interior plastics, Quality control issues. The Bottom Line: Recommended, however the interior materials need to be updated very badly.
It's quite astounding how far family oriented cars have come these days, not only in performance, but in overall design. In 1989 Ford had one of the fastest 4 door family cars on the market; the discontinued Taurus SHO. While BMW and other...

Pros: Engine, styling, driving position, rear seat comfort, trunk space Cons: Interior quality and styling, mushy front seats, torque steer, ride The Bottom Line: A shame the rest of the car falls well short of the great engine and sharp exterior.
Many of the cars I test drive I dont see myself potentially owning. Theyre either too expensive, or not my type of vehicle. The Altima is an exception. With the redesigned 2002 I test drove the 2.5 liter four with a manual transmission and the ...

Pros: Overall quality, holds its value Cons: Interior could have used some spice, gas mileage could be better for a 4 cylinder The Bottom Line: Spend a litte more money and it'll be worth it in the long run.
This review is of my wife’s 2003 Nissan Altima. It is the 2.5 S model with an automatic transmission, four doors, and a 2.5 Liter 4 Cylinder engine. It is the Polished Pewter color, which is gold/gray with a metallic tinge. The interior is ...

Pros: Responsive handling and engine, distinctive styling, reliability expected to be above average. Cons: Poor highway mileage, sorely needs 5th gear, price quickly becomes unreasonable with V6 and options. The Bottom Line: A strong, stylish competition to the anonymous Camry/Accord/Century, the Altima needs the 5th gear and a better interior. It is the best available rental midsize sedan available.
Experience ... and disclaimer: I do not owe an Altima; it was a 2-week business rental. Features I was given a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5SL by Hertz. It is a top 4-cylinder Altima model; it comes with automatic transmission, like all ...

Out of Smyrna, Tenn. comes the powerful V6 Altima. The SE is the only V6 powered model in the Altima line. It's the car that is turning heads on our roads. In fact, this is the first major redesign of the Altima by this automaker. Based on what I...

**Note for the slang impaired- The 'Ill' portion of 'Illtima' in my title means something GOOD** So anyways, with that out of the way, we enter the 5th stage of my driving life. For those without the background, Stage 1 was a 1987 Pontiac Firefly. ...

Pros: Lots of interior space and a peppy 6-cylinder engine.
Cons: Sluggish brakes and more expensive than comparable competitor models.
The Bottom Line: The Nissan Altima is an excellent car. It will give you a very comfortable ride on the highway and an easy drive around town.

Pros: Incredible power, great exterior looks, rock-solid reliability Cons: Low-rent interior, so-so fuel economy The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE for anyone looking for something more than an everyday sedan. The power and refinement at this price is incredible.
My purchase of the 2003 Altima came in February, 2004. I reluctantly decided to trade my 2001 Maxima SE 5-speed for something with a more commuter-friendly automatic transmission. The Maxima was an absolutely superb car through the 43K miles I owned it, ...

- Conti tires are bad and dangerous The Bottom Line: Do not buy the car!
I got this car in Mar03 and was happy with it as it offered more interior room and more power than my previous VW Golf 94. The exterior look was amazing and the handling of the car was OK for an old geezer like myself (31 years old). However, in ...

Pros: Styling, power, interior room Cons: Front wheel drive handling, stiff ride. The Bottom Line: I recommend for the guy who needs a sporty car but has a family.
I purchased my 2003 Altima and have had it for 14 months now. I put a lot of miles on it and not all of them are highway. I have been very satified with the car on virtually every aspect. The powerful V-6 3.5 engine is almost too strong for a front whe ...

Pros: Exterior style, interior roominess, 4 cylinder acceleration Cons: RELIABILITY - awful! Factory CD player skips/fails to read many CD's. Fell in love with the exterior styling of this car as soon as I saw the first one in summer 2002. Bought a used 2002 - didn't think there was anything curious about buying a used car in the same year of its manufacture... - and then traded it in the ...
