I traded in my 1994 Pontiac Grand Am (see my review) for a new Patriot Blue Ram 1500 Quad cab 4x2 (5.7 L v-8 Hemi) in September of 2004. I waited until now to evaluate my truck so that I wouldnt have to make may revisions. To date this truck has ...

Pros: Looks, power, reliability Cons: Gas Mileage, takes forever to wash and dry because of it's size The Bottom Line: This is a great truck that has proven to be reliable and mx free. For the price and reliability you can't beat it.
I purchased my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 new in March 2005. It was a left-over model that I purchased for nearly $10K below the sticker. I've owned and operated the truck for 31 months now. My truck is the quad cab 4x4 with the 4.7L V-8. This truck has ...

Pros: Hemi Power. Great looking truck. Big. Cons: Sluggish stock programming on transmission responsiveness. The Bottom Line: Dodge got it right with this truck... Almost. The engine powertrain package makes the 345HP rating feel "overrated". Get a programmer and that will change. Great truck!!
I bought mine in 2004 from my parents neighbor. It is the best vehicle buy I have ever come across. I have a quad cab SLT with the 5.7 Hemi. I put a flowmaster super 40 series, dumped the resonator and purchased a superchips flashpaq. The truck had ...

Pros: Comfortable, powerful and fairly quiet Cons: It appears to be hard on auxiliary fuel pumps and wheel bearings. The Bottom Line: Cheaper than Ford, more clearance than Chev and probably as mechanically sound as any of them.
I bought my Dodge Ram Quad Cab diesel 3500 4x4 new in August of 2004. I chose a Dodge because it was a little less expensive than a similar Ford, and I had heard some bad things about the Ford engine. It also has much more clearance for off road ...

We have now owned our new Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab about 1 year. We absolutely love this truck!!! The truck has a smooth ride, except on bumpy roads, it's a 3/4 ton truck. On the road the truck handles very mice, with sharp responsive steering, and lots ...

Pros: Style, Power, Comfort Cons: Transmission, gas guzzler
I love this truck for the most part. It's got power, comfort and style. I bought mine new and now it has 45K miles on it. Around 20k miles it had a transmission issue. It would go above second gear and it wouldn't down shift on its own. Turns out there's sensor that reads tire speed that tells the transmission when to shift. I had it replaced and the mechanic told me that this has been a common issue with the 2003-04 Dodge trucks. Other than that I love it, haven't had any problems since.
