Pros: POWER, pulls like a freight train and then upgrades to fighter jet! Cons: forget about two passengers. Flimsy plastic fairings. Heat from exhaust!
I have been riding for a little over 15 years. Never have I had such an incredible motorcycle as the awesome zx10. I bought my zx10 about 2 months ago. I upgraded from a zx9. Don't get me wrong the zx9 is an amazing all around motorcycle. And after ...

Pros: Power, handling, and POWER!! Cons: Nasty head shake. I got a lemon.... Kawasaki Canada SUCKS for customer support.
I have had a 2000 model CBR929, and an 04 and o5 ZX10R. Upgrading to the ZX10R proved to me that there is magic in this world, as I didn't think it could get better than that 929. Power, power, and more power. It wasn't twitchy either, which was very ...

Wonderfully overpowered.
by adr3nalinefix ,Dec 05 '07
Pros: Stupid fast. behaves as a 600. Slipper clutch. 3rd gear power wheelies. Rediculous brag factor. Cons: digital RPM gauge. Steering-Stabilizer is necessary. Your mom is going to hate this thing.
The 04 ZX10R is without a doubt the winner in the liter bike class of 04. It's ridiculously overpowered, unnecessarily fast, and it couldn't be better. 163 hp dyno'd out of the box, and 184 at the crank, you can power up the front wheel with a little practice in 3rd gear. If you're looking for your first bike, this is about as bad of a decision you could make. DO NOT buy this bike if you don't have at least 20,000 miles under your belt or some serious track days, because you will get yourself into some very sketchy situations very easily.
Is the bike over powered? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Do I love it? Absolutely.
