Pros: Absolutely none! Cons: The whole vehicle! The Bottom Line: Look else, buy something a more reliable. Plagued with problems. Not a good word to say, except I have never been happier to see the back end of a vehicle.
I owned a Mazda 3 SP23 (Top of the in Australia). 2.5 years and 60,000kms down the track what can I say - the engine mounts broke and the engine smashed through the transmission. Cruise control constantly fail, is on about it seventh replacement. The ...

Pros: Nice looking Cons: Serious design and reliability problems. The Bottom Line: Don't buy. Noisy, shaky, bad reliability (engine fell off). Non standard oil filter available in dealer only ($15).
I own two 2 years old Mazda 2005 - 3 hatchback and 3i 4dr. In my Mazda 3i when car had 72k miles engine fell off. The Mazda/Ford and Mazda dealer said: you problem. Mazda agreed to pay for blots ($60). In Mazda 3 having around 20k miles I experienced ...

Pros: Driver comfort Cons: Lots The Bottom Line: An average car, very over hyped and not up to expectations!
Just a short comment for potential purchasers, with many years driving experience and having owned a broad range of cars I purchased after some consideration the Mazda 3 in the top of the range model. The car on initial impressions was well featured ...

Pros: Stylish
Comfortable for the shorter driver Cons: Unreliable, faulty transmission
Poor customer service by Mazda The Bottom Line: Avoid this model of car. Its good looks are not enough to overcome the poor reliability.
We purchased our 2004 Mazda 3 new and have put just over 50,000 miles on the car. At 26,000 miles we took the car in because the transmission was shifting hard, and banging into gear. I was told that this is quite normal and not to worry about it. At ...

Pros: Interior comfort/design, 4/48 bumper-to-bumper warranty, Mazda service is beyond reproach and a responsive engine. Cons: Typical first model year problems with mechanical design/quality. Also, the gas mileage seems overstated. The Bottom Line: Buy it, but wait until 2006 when the bugs have been worked out as it isn't worth the hassle of repeated visits to the dealership for annoying problems.
The exterior of this car is (I've been told repeatedly) 'very cute'. It's a little bit Saab (especially the 5 door), a little bit Civic and a little bit Toyota Matrix. The interior is pure Mazda. One thing that they have always done right is build the ...

Pros: Wonderful, luxurious interior styling, stylish exterior, nice acceleration and power, smart driver-control design. Cons: Squeaky brakes, creaky frame, very poor HVAC, stock tires NOT safe in snow conditions. The Bottom Line: I cannot recommend the 2004 Mazda 3, and wish I could be free of the car in order to buy something with more quality-polish and less problems.
Despite warnings about first model-year cars, I was rabidly eager to get my hands on the new Mazda 3 in December of 2003 (yep, I got one of the first ones off the boat in Canada as far as I know). The showroom models and literature, as well as press ...

Pros: Power, Handling, Interior Cons: Rear Space The Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a sporty answer to a sedan or wagon, you should give the 3 a look.
On a bright, warm Saturday, I was working hard on a Habitat for Humanity house, when my cell phone started ringing. It was my fiancé telling me hes in the process of buying a new car, a Mazda 3 Hatch. Strange, I thought, he had just started ...

Pros: Acceleration, handling, Interior Quality, Exterior Design, Options. Cons: s trim price tag not for everyone. The Bottom Line: If you are willing to shell out a few more grand for
a great economy car, then I highly suggest checking out a Mazda3s.
The Mazda brand is not exactly known for producing extraordinarily great economy cars. From the infamous 323 line to the bland Protégé Sedan, Mazda's entry level cars have almost always suggested point A to B transport versus excitement or anything ...

Pros: Huge trunk
Auto passenger airbag shutoff,
Sexy styling,
Cavernous glove box
Cons: No trunk popper on key fob
No lights on vanity mirrors The Bottom Line: I recommend this vehicle because of its unique styling, as well as its responsive handling. Form and function for a fraction.
The Mazda 3 (4 door, 2.3, Strato Blue) is my first ever new vehicle purchase. I was initially drawn to it by its styling. I also hadn't seen many around, so I thought it would be exciting to be one of the few for awhile, rather than just another one of ...

Pros: Upscale look and feel, power, refinement, handling Cons: Some styling details, rear seat room, where did the extra six inches go? The Bottom Line: Surprisingly upscale look and feel for the price. Performance and handling are both very good. Mysteriously, less rear seat and cargo room than the Protege.
In November 2003 I bought a Mazda Protegé5 (P5). Because that car was about to be replaced by the Mazda 3, its price was very low. But should I have waited, and paid a few grand more to get a better car? I recently test drove an automatic Mazda 3s sedan ...

I too, have driven and owned many many cars. I bought my 2004 Mazda 3 hatchback, new from the dealer. I now have 47,000 miles on it. It is very comfortable, roomy, easy and fun to drive, handles very very well in the twisties and has plenty of power for ...

Pros: Fuel economy, price, size, performance, style Cons: Trunk space, spare tire, OEM wheels on i model The Bottom Line: I absolutely recommend for a practical, economical, somewhat stylish everyday car.
The Mazda 3i (Mz3) is an outstanding value as a commuter vehicle with some pizzazz. Let me begin by saying that I researched several alternatives for over a year before purchasing the Mazda3 and am extremely happy with my decision. I began my search ...

Pros: Fun, looks good, lots of options, good handling. Cons: Looks faster than it is The Bottom Line: Buy it if your looking for a decently priced compact sedan
Mazda has created a real winner in the compact econo sedan category. If your looking for a small, well balanced car for under $20,000 check out the 3s. The car in the S model trim sports 160bhp. It's pretty quick off the line but it could use a few ...

Pros: Acceleration, handling, interior and exterior styling. Cons: MPG could be slightly better. AC can be a bit weak for very hot climates. The Bottom Line: I would say that if you are in the market for a new car, definitely take a look at Mazda, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
I own a 2004 Mazda3 Hatchback, I purchased this car new. First off, a little back story. At the time I wasnt even considering Mazda when looking for a new car. A friend said he saw a really cool looking red hatchback (me being a fan of ...

Pros: Very sporty, lots of giddy-up, great fuel economy, fun to drive Cons: A/C not cold enough and steering kinda weak in tight turns The Bottom Line: I certainly feel as though I got a very good car for the price!
I've had my 2.3 liter 3 for a little over a month now and have already racked up 3000 miles on it. It's really a lot of fun to drive. Compared to my other car, a Honda CRV, this thing is like a rocket! It honestly feels a lot like driving a ...
