Pros: VERY well put together, solid, durable, good looking, smooth V6, 21.5 MPG on the hwy! Cons: Harsh ride, seat comfort, limited room & access to the back seat The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a reliable used truck, this is your best option. Will go 200K miles easily without missing a beat, assuming it is well maintained.
I purchased my '04 Tacoma Xtracab 4x4 V6 in February 2004, after my '01 Dodge Dakota broke down once too many times. I needed a truck, and fast, so I did some research on reliability, and found that the Tacoma was rated highest in its class. I got a ... read more

Pros: Tough, strong, and so, so pretty. Cons: Gas mileage. The Bottom Line: Best truck in 2004 in its class. Great value, highly rated in safety, you can't go wrong.
I bought my Tacoma brand new off the lot. It's an extended-cab, V6, 4 wheel drive with the TRD and towing packages. It's more costly than an equivalent American offering, but definitely worth it. In the two years I owned mine, I never had a single ... read more

Pros: 4 doors, adequate power, cabin space, heating, cooling, good looks, manufacture known for quality products. Cons: Driver seat to low, auto shifting sometimes hesitant, obstructed view of in-dash clock. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle because the manufacture of the product is known for reliability, and because I have driven this vehicle for two years with minor complaints.
I purchased my 2004 (4 door) automatic, 2 wheel drive Tacoma new in 2003. Ride is stiff, but it's a truck not a car. Recommend the 6 cylinder over the 4 mainly for quicker acceleration from a stop, better hauling power, and again because it's a truck. ... read more

Pros: It's got a good resale value, if you can find another sucker to buy it. Cons: Cheaply constructed, unreliable - my third Toyota vehicle, and my LAST Toyota.
I replaced a 1998 Tacoma with a 2004 (before the new, bigger models came out) and it was the WORSE decision I've made. The 1998 Tacoma went cross country three times, and was only in for service once (bad spark plug) in over 110K miles. The 2004 model

Pros: The solidness of the way this truck was built. Cons: The Tacoma does have a hard ride, but this is due to the SRO suspension.
My 2004 Toyota Tacoma has been an excellent truck. I purchased this vehicle because I needed a second vehicle that was a truck. I talked to a lot of my friends and co-workers and they recommended this truck. I purchased my 2004 Tacoma brand new, and
