Pros: Even you can afford a world-class touring sedan. Classy, understated styling. Good overall fuel-efficiency. Cons: Annoyingly zealous tailgate lock. Poor fuel efficiency while idling or accelerating hard. The Bottom Line: Before you go out and spend $45,000 on a BMW or Volvo, take a look at this car.
This car is basically an Audi A4 with a different badge and not so many bells and whistles, and a $10,000 lower sticker price. Given that even even the Audi is a good value in its class, what we have here is a car that comes pretty close to running with ...

Pros: Easy to drive, looks amazing, super comfortable, safety feature, luxury features, Monsoon stereo system Cons: Gas mileage, rear hatch, expensive, questionable resale values The Bottom Line: Definately a recommended vehicle.
I bought my 2004 Passat GLX 4motion wagon new to replace the 2004 BMW X5 that I leased only a few months prior. I hated that car. I wanted something almost as luxurious, with the versatility of a wagon and the security of all-wheel drive. This car has ...

Pros: Reasonable price, spacious, great features, smooth handling and good fuel efficiency. Cons: Only minor problems such as noise and other small repairs that needed to be performed. The Bottom Line: A great vehicle at a reasonable price.
I bought this VW sedan in November 2004, and have owned it since that time. It now has over 100,000 miles, but I haven't run into any serious problems. I've heard that it can start getting electrical problems after 100,000 miles, so I'm ...

Pros: Affordable, comfortable, practical. Cons: Gas mileage, high maintenance cost, loud. The Bottom Line: A great car that balances performance, safety, and reliability in a package that is quite affordable and holds its own against more expensive competitors.
The 2004 Volkswagen Passat is an excellent choice for someone looking for a practical car, that is still fun to drive. It competes with cars that are more expensive and more luxury oriented. The car feels extremely stable and is reliable. This is ...

Pros: Gas mileage, comfortable, looks great, drives well Cons: Electrical system The Bottom Line: I'd buy a Volkswagen again in a heart beat!
I got this car in 2004 brand new and four years later I still love driving it. This little car is great on gas which is essential considering gas prices today! I really like the style of the body and how comfortable the seats are. I've gotten many ...

Pros: Huge trunk. Plush interior. Great sound. Great engine. Cons: No MP3 player options. No GPS options.
The 2004 VW Passat GLX is an outstanding car. I have owned this car for about 1.5 years and I have loved every minute of it. I was hesitant at first because I had always owned trucks. The leather is very nice. The engine has more than enough pick-up and top end for any driver. The stereo has great sound and my iPod sounds very good over it. The interior has plenty of room for my child seat, me and 2 passenders. The trunk fits more than 4 passengers should bring on a trip.

Pros: Agile Vehicle, Controls easy to reach. Responsive. gorgeous interior, great on fuel. Cons: Seat uncomfortable after 5hrs of driving. Probably me more than VW
Excellent and superb vehicle. I purchased the Passat as an off-lease vehicle. It had 10,300 miles on it. I now have 21,000 miles. Even owning a Miata, this Passat is more fun to drive.
The interior night lighting is red and blue. Every switch anywhere is annuciated in red light. This is superb for night driving. Sound system is awesome. Surprisingly large trunk area. Since my vehicle is the 4Motion, the rear seat does not fold down. Yet, here is a pass through "door" for long objects you may wish to place in the trunk.
Highway road and wind noise is minimal to none of any vehicle I have owned. And..I write this with the perspective of 45 years of driving and the purchasing of a new vehicle every two years.
Yet, this used Passat 4Motion V6, has become the top of any vehicle I have had the joy to own.
By the way, only one problem so far and the dealer corrected it under warranty in about two hours.
