Pros: Interior versatility, styling Cons: Less roomy, undersized second-row seats, heavy steering, harsher ride, generally cheaper and cruder feel The Bottom Line: To justify this one you've got to plan to do a lot of stowin n' goin. The Odyssey and Sienna have substantial advantages in most other areas.
After driving the 2005 Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, I decided I needed another look at the Chrysler. I gave it a favorable review last spring, but would this evaluation hold up with the Japanese vans fresh in my mind? Since Id already reviewed ...

Pros: Stow and go seats, lots of storage and very good a/c. Family friendly. Cons: Steering feels a little light to me. Would like more road feel. The Bottom Line: Not as good looking inside as the Honda. But this is a real family friendly van that will do anything you bought a minivan to do, at a good price.
I've owned a lot of Chrysler products over my life time and have had good and bad experiences with them. But I must say, I am pleasantly surprised with this minivan. I have owned it now for 13 months and so far, haven't had a thing go wrong with it. ...

Pros: Looks, runs nice. Value. Features. Good ride. Stow-N-Go is amazing. Cons: Resale value is horrid! Beeping when opening rear door with motor. Stupid 'pop' noise. The Bottom Line: I'd buy again, but I'd work em down a little more on price. Resale/trade-in price is horrible. Bought for $19k, 18mo later, worth $15k trade-in.
After owning over 30 cars in my 20 years as a driver, I decided to swap my 04 Ranger Edge Supercab 4.0L AUTO 2wd for the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Spring Special Edition When purchased: Bought this used from Gator Chrysler in ...

Pros: Stow & Go, versatility, ride, warranty, added standard features and 22 to 26 mpg Cons: Tire brand used by Dodge The Bottom Line: This is a GRAND van to own and I would feel safe recommending it to my best friend. Getting 22 to 26 mph PLUS cargo space.
We traded in our '98 Grand Caravan and leased a 2005 Stow & GO Caravan. 3.8V6 engine --plenty strong for over mountains or hauling things. We live in an old house and haul lumber etc to fix up all the time. I wanted Traction Control (for low speed ...

Pros: Stow-N-Go works as advertised. Cons: Reliability. The Bottom Line: Not recommended. Chrysler/domestic appears to be...well, still Chrysler.
Traded in Jeep Grand Cherokee so my wife would have something to haul our 4 kids around in. I looked at the Odyssey & Grand Caravan, and chose the Caravan for the stow & go seating, as I also have weekend cargo needs that extend beyond just the kids ...

Pros: Price, handling, roomy, comfortable. Cons: Gas mileage can always be improved. The Bottom Line: Economical minivan with gentle ride and comfortable seating.
After finding out about the addition of our third baby, and looking at our worn down 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass, we decided that the time had finally come to upgrade a get a new vehicle. A minivan was chosen over SUV's for several reasons. The first of ...

Pros: versatility of seating/cargo.
comfort of 1st and 2nd row seats esp. Cons: Not the most gas efficient. The Bottom Line: I love this van. I would recommend it to anyone who wants versatility in a vehicle.
We bought our 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan in May of this year. We had planned on looking at the other makes with fold flat seats, but then Dodge brought out its 2005 model with both rows laying flat! We looked at the other makes, but Chrysler seemed to ...

Pros: Comfortable, quick, good gas economy Cons: no 3.8 options with the short wheelbase model The Bottom Line: I think for the money its a good well built van that for me has been very reliable. Although Honda makes a superb minivan aswell.
I have the Dodge Caravan short wheelbase model with the 3.3 V6. I don't need the heavy rear seats so I had them removed reducing weight and improving acceleration, handling and fuel economy. I have done a few simple modifications to it to further ...

Pros: Versatility. Cons: Economy versus power, needs more of one or the other. The Bottom Line: Recommend for any family, with or without kids. A very versatile vehicle.
Words that I don't hear when going on a family outing in our 2005 Grand Caravan SXT. We purchased our van in the spring. Our selection came equipped with the factory entertainment system. We drove nearly 800 miles in one day soon after taking delivery ...

Pros: Has a little something for everyone from soccer mom to tailgating daddies. Cons: Trunk area needs a power adapter and the gas mileage could use some major improvements. The Bottom Line: If you have a growing family that needs room and would like the option of going on road trips than this is the van for you.
We have had our van a few months and love it dearly. We traded in our Chrsyler Pacifica for it. Pros: 1>Lots of room. I mean allot! I frequent the home improvement store alot and love the stow'n'go seating. I am able to drop all the seats into ...

Pros: EVERYTHING--STOW & GO,quietness and all of the features added this year. Cons: NOTHING but the tire brand which is Bridgestone. I prefer Michellin. The Bottom Line: LOVE this Grand Caravan and feel safe recommending it to anyone. It has everything I like and nothing I didn't want.

Pros: Quiet, smooth ride, versatile, smart logic Cons: Gas mileage not as high as expected; wheel rims tend to blacken up a lot The Bottom Line: This one had everything we were looking for in a replacement van, and then some. Great looks, comfort, hidden features that continue to surprise and delight.
We had previously owned a '97 standard Caravan. After a minor mishap, we found ourselves in a position to look for a new one and went straight to the Dodge dealer to see what might have changed in eight years. What a pleasant surprise. We ended up ...

Pros: stow-n-go, folding seats, easy to drive, good sound system. Cons: anti-lock brake sensors, gas mileage, no separate fob from the key. The Bottom Line: Good family van for the money.
I purchased the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT used, still with a warranty and low miles in March 2007. It has stow-n-go (stow-n-go is compartments in the middle of the van where the floor lifts up and reveals storage space) and for a family of 6 it was ...
