2005 Subaru Baja

Pros: comfort, mileage, utility
Cons: not as cool as my Jeep Wrangler but still neat

This is an ideal car, 4-door space (real room in the back seat), great mileage, good power (auto), utility, and it has all the bells and whistles. Looks great, too. For the money and gas mileage this beats all those 'small bed' pickups badly. A side benefit, women love it. I keep getting comments like 'what a cute car' and 'look at that little car-truck'. If you are afraid of it being compared to the old Brat, this is so far from it they are not even on the same planet. Give it a try and you will buy one (or two, now my wife wants one).

Pros: Looks GREAT, fun to drive, useful, economical!
Cons: Only regret is that I didn't spend the extra cash for the turbo model.

This is the best car I've ever owned (and I've owned many)! It's fun, functional, economical and looks great. I was distraught that the 2006 was the last year it was made. It was my intent to upgrade to the Baja Turbo in 2008. This vehicle did not fail to sell, Subaru failed to sell it. They never once gave it any TV time and only limited print ads targeting the wrong people. Oh well, I can always hope it comes back.
