2006 Chevrolet Corvette

Pros: Affordable, great driving
Cons: Bigger than the rest of the corvettes.

This is everything you want from a corvette. Its hair-raising acceleration and tremendous turning ability lead to the fact that this Corvette is the most valuable from the entire Corvette family. With its powerful V8 engine the 2006 Corvette is on the level of some of the best sports cars in the world. Once this car hits the open road it is something else. One fault to me is that it does not seem to be as quick as the other models of corvettes. This car is one of the best dollar to performance car in the world.

Pros: Performance, nice interior features, loads of luggage space, and economy gas mileage.
Cons: No faults with this automobile. It is the best Vette yet.

Purchased a new 2006 Corvette for a once in a lifetime trip down Route 66 and other roads West. Covered 10,000 miles at normal and high speeds (120) and still managed to average over 24 mpg. One stretch of driving yielded 31 mpg and an average speed of 78 mpg. This was over 400 miles with at least four pit stops and two 10 mile construction zones (25 mph). This car performed way beyond expectations and I've driven Vettes for over 35 years. It is by far the best product General Motors has ever produced. Lots of luggage space for traveling, great gas mileage, and more performance than anyone has a right too have this day in age.

Cons: smokes tires at 70 mph in 1st gear

Get an American made super-car. The new z06 corvette. The corvette is faster, has more acceleration, and the same top speed, but a better 1/4 mile time. To put it plain and simple, if you want a super-car for a sedan price than the Corvette z06 is your car.

Cons: Interior could be better, ashtray not staying up

After waiting for what has seemed to be a lifetime I finally got a vette. And it has been worth the wait. The car is exactly what it says it is. Exterior flawless - looks great, interior - could be better, but not as bad as older vettes. Nice V8 engine with the z51 handling package. More than enough power under foot to pass anything on the road. I found the car to be smaller than I originally thought and much more nimble on the road.

Pros: Strong performance. Fit and finish. Super looks.
Cons: Rediculous amount of road noise for a luxury sports car.

I bought a 2006 corvette new and now have 8000 miles on it. Starting around 5000 miles, i swear it became quicker versus before. Anyway, it is an exciting car to own and drive. This is my 3rd Corvette . The technology is incredible for this car. It is a great bargain especially if you opt for the very basic package . I only paid $39,995 plus tax , new, for mine. That was $5500 off of MSRP for the basic package. Even the basic package has all the whistles and bells one could ask for.

Pros: VALUE, POWER, MILEAGE, HANDLING, GREAT LOOKS ..and, did I SAY POWER?
Cons: somewhat noisy at speed, nav system could be easier to use

Superb LOOKS, zero to 60 time of 4.2 seconds, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, heads-up display, magneto-rheologic shocks for fine dial-in handling.
My combined mileage is 24 mpg from a 400hp eight cylinder engine...
what engineering!

Sure you can get the Z06 with 500+ hp,but you lose the removable roof.
So for those of use who don't race our vettes on a regular basis,
the C6 is probably more car than we'll ever need for a price that is a true bargain.
