by
Dec 22, 2013 - Updated Jan 1, 2014 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good fuel economy, plenty of power in the engine and lots of room!
Cons: Remote control antenna defect, weird cup holder. Stereo could use some work, not a deal-breaker.
The Bottom Line: Excellent car with a few quirks, but if you've got the room I'd recommend it 100%!

After having owned my 2003 Dodge Neon for several years, I found myself in a position working nearly an hour away from my home, a lot of it being on highway, and I wanted a larger (and safer) vehicle with a lot more "oomph" for when I needed to get on ... read more

I have been impressed by two other Chevys I have owned so when I sold my last horse and traded my pick up in for a car I chose the Impala LT for the Chevy dependability and good gas mileage. The LT model gives you a 3.5 V6 engine, 211-horsepower, ... read more

by
Jul 8, 2008 - Updated Aug 12, 2008 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Competitively priced, optional factory remote start, spacious, powerful, comfortable, updated look and terrific daily driver.
Cons: 3.9L fuel economy is not great.
The Bottom Line: Good solid vehicle, with luxury and a touch of sport. It's fun to drive, it is quick, and yet comfortable on everyday roads.

The 2006 Impala is built on an updated W-Body platform, which has been around for a couple decades now. In 1996, I bought a 1992 Lumina Euro with the 3.1L that was also a W-body and survived a harsh life before and during my ownership. All-in-all, I ... read more

Pros: Power, comfort, space, reliability

When our twin boys arrived, increasing our family from one to three children under the age of 3, my VW Jetta turbo wagon was traded in on a new Toyota Sienna. Of course my wife was driving the Sienna, and I inherited her Mercury Mountaineer. Very ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: No

Pros: Powerful engine; flexible cargo configurations; excellent handling…
Cons: See Review
The Bottom Line: While the 2003 Chevrolet Impala represented the right balance of the luxury, roominess, power, and exterior beauty, the 2006/2007 Chevrolet Impala LS falls short on almost ever yardstick.

As I stated in my review of the C ourtyard by Marriott in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, its rare that I have occasion to travel for business purposes these days, which is just as well since getting through airport security in ... read more

Pros: Incomparable acceleration, superb handling, excellent audio, quiet cabin, superior fit and finish.
Cons: DIC lettering could dim more at night, lack of availability of OEM Navigation system.
The Bottom Line: The new 2006 Chevrolet Impala SS is simply the best sports sedan available on the market today, is a compelling buy and easily competes with the very best foreign competition.

This car is simply the best automobile Chevrolet has offered for sale in a very, very long time. It is a grand example of sports sedan combined with high quality highway cruiser with its powerful engine, superior fit and finish, quiet cabin interior, ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: I get to return it in a week.
Cons: Big, Slow, Uncomfortable, Ugly, Gas Guzzler.
The Bottom Line: Thankfully this oversized box of crap was only a rental.

The rental place talked me into an impala because it had XM radio. I've always wondered what satellite radio was like, so I figured I could give it a shot. Sure enough, there was no XM radio. What I did get was a car that was ugly, too long to parallel ... read more

Pros: Impressive performance, 18'' wheels are gorgeous, remote start, Bose sound system
Cons: Fuel mileage not up to specs, no telescoping steering wheel, indistinguishable rear end.
The Bottom Line: For under 30k, one would be hard pressed to match this car. It is much improved over previous model year Impalas. Great car for the money!

I have had my '06 SS for 1 month and let me say, WOW! Black with ebony leather interior, yeah! My car has me so excited that I wanted to write my very first review on Epinions, so I hope I do an adequate job for everyone. Chevrolet really did their ... read more

Pros: GM hit a homerun with this car and I am not a GM fun.
Cons: The back seats could use a little more leg room.
I love my Impala LTZ. I bought it three weeks ago and I have been getting over 20 mpg all city driving. The car is very smooth and quiet and the engine has a lot of power. I don't undertand why some people don't think the car has a good looking exterior, ... read more
