Charger Daytona R/T: True return of the muscle car?

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Improved handling and seats; the Daytona graphics complete the car
Cons: Steering remains too numb, not for everyone
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't get the Charger without the Road and Track Package. It should be offered on the Magnum and 300 as well.

Last year when I test drove the Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum I came away impressed by the Hemi but disappointed by the handling. With fairly soft suspensions, touring tires, and insufficiently bolstered seats, these cars just weren't meant for tackling ...

Where's Daisy?

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Comfortable, Room, Quiet Ride
Cons: Engine Power lacking
The Bottom Line: The SE is a nice car, but if you want power buy the RT or SRT8 editions.

The Dodge Charger was a classic car for many years, and it is most commonly known as the star of the show "The Dukes of Hazzard." Actually, Katherine Bach as Daisy Duke was, but there were lots of scenes with the Duke Boys driving like maniacs in the ...

Did Dodge Miss The Mark?? Slightly...Maybe....

Pros: Style, Ride, Cost
Cons: Gas Mileage, Lack of Power (6 cyl)
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for muscle stay far away from the 6 cyl

A quick take on this all-new vehicle. In terms of styling, the Dodge Charger is a modern muscle car. I recently had a chance to drive the 6 Cyl version of this car. I picked the car up with 230 miles on it and drove it for another 600 or so miles. ...

Pros: Eye grabber, clean lines, great ride, comfortable seating, very roomy, sporty yet plush.
Cons: Sluggish at times, and gets more attention than I do.
The Bottom Line: ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED

Sporty enough and luxurious enough to please both parties? I recently purchased a 2006 Charger SXT and I've been staring at it from my living room window since the day I picked it up. This car was designed so beautifully, even though many "true" muscle ...

Pros: Smooth, Looks, Gauges, interior, exterior,
Cons: NONE!
The Bottom Line: Loved it, buy it, great looks, great MPG, super comfortable, cold AC

We just got back from driving the base model charger (a rental with 6,000 miles) from Virginia to South Carolina, a total of 1,200 miles over a 4 day period. The car is black and looks great. I have owned and currently own several nice cars but this is ...

Little naughty and a little nice

Pros: Power, comfortable, lots of bells and whistles and speed sensitive steering is NICE.
Cons: Safety factor with being unable to clear w/s & awkward placement of 'essentials'
The Bottom Line: It has the power that Mopar fans desire and it has a decent look, but try it before you buy it.

Before buying a car, I try to rent one to give it a weekend drive to decide if I can live with it. So this weekend, I did just that. Beautiful ride - 4 speed automatic, speed sensitive steering, lots of get-up-and-go (175km/h and it still had power ...

Best Car for the money period!

Pros: Hemi, U Connect Blue Tooth, Looks, Stereo.
Cons: Temp Gauge needs to be visible to all. Nav system need touch screen.
I purchased this car in May of 2006 and have been more than pleased. I drive an 06 Impala for work and it is anemic compared to my Charger. I have a black R/T edition with the performance steering/shift/exhaust program. The seats are very comfortable, the ride is beautiful and the power is awesome. I installed a K&N Aircharger and get 19 MPG around town and almost 27 highway, pretty respectable for an 8 cyl. I have owned may cars but this one blows me away. I jump at the chance to drive it. You get a lotta goodies for the money you spend and I would put it up against a BMW or any Japanese Junk out there.

Buy one before they fly off the shelf.

Pros: overall great!
Cons: none!
I looked at a ton of different cars before deciding on the Dodge Charger, I went with the Daytona version, orange w/ the graphics, 5.7 Hemi...almost a year later, I don't have any major complaints. It's roomy enough that my 6'5" 350lb. friend can sit comfortably in the back seat and the leather seats are easy cleaning with kids. The trunk is big enough for a really good Costco run and with the back seats folded down, you can fit something about 6 feet in length. It handles smoothly and is very comfortable to ride in and drive. The stock stereo in mine is awesome.
It's a police magnet! Although, the first time I got pulled over in it, the officer was so impressed by the car, he was asking the stats and asked to see under the hood :)

Pros: Quiet ride fast acceleration, looks sharp
Cons: I feel like white trash driving it.
I have the Dodge Charger as a company car and am very satisfied with the performance of it. I have now driven it 23000 and have not had any problems at all other than a blow out on the GW bridge. The torque and overall acceleration are excellent letting you pass vehicles easily when needed. The cabin is quiet and roomy enough for kids and their enormous car seats. The transmission is smooth and shifting is sometimes a pain if you have a large slurpee in the cup holder. The radio is clear and loud but only reaches a volume that can be heard with the windows up. The only negative about the car is that the Dodge marketing team did a great job at targeting possibly every redneck in America making this car feel like the official NASCAR of the highway. I would recommend the car as long as you do not mind people pulling up to you and asking if that has a HEMI in it. The engine size is on the side of the car so their is no reason for anyone to ask unless they cannot read which is very possible.

Family car that lets you keep your manhood

Pros: Trunk, inside cabin room, body style, engine, R/T performance package, good a/c
Cons: heavy car and front doors, rear air very weak, trunk sounds thin,
I purchased a used 2006 Dodge Charge R/T with Road and Track performance package, electronic and air bag upgrades. My wife and I needed a family size car that fit comfortably two car seats side by side and once in awhile mommy in middle. It also needed a decent size truck to support the volumes of kid junk that comes along on vacation to the beach. I refused to sink to the mini-van, I wanted a vehicle that give me back just a shred of my manliness. (I have 2 little girls). We compared the Ford 500, Toyota Camry, Buick Lucerne, and the Chrysler 300. I have no regrets. This is the best car for our family. The Trunk fits everything, add on a $200 hidden hitch put on the cargo hauler and you can pack as much as a full size suv. Everyone has more than enough room inside and include the upgraded seats in the r/t package and this car is a joy to take on the long trip.

comfort and performance, Dodge Charger R/T

Pros: Excellent acceleration, good handling characteristics, nice sound system, really a fun car to drive.
Cons: The appearance may not appeal to some but it sure turns heads as you pass.
The Dodge Charger has exceptional comfort for people of all sizes. Finding a comfortable driving position is possible for anyone, as I am 6 foot five, and never seem to have enough leg room in most vehicles I drive. I picked up my car a few weeks ago and am so impressed with it. The seats are excellent. I would like to point out that my car was ordered with the R/T performance package, which includes special suede and leather bolstered seats, the only way to go. This car is a keeper.

Pros: Powerful sporty looking sedan
Cons: Wish the temperature gauge was visible to passengers and not just the driver.
I LOVE my new Dodge Charger. I saw a TV ad for this car before it was available on the market. I immediately went down and got a brochure and started picking out my options.

My husband wanted a rear wheel drive car and they are few and far between, but the Charger fit this requirement!

It took longer then I expected to order my car (about 10 weeks). I love the inferno red with the pearl glaze, it just sparkles in the sun shine.

This is the first 4-door car I have ever owned or wanted. I like a sporty car and ordered a spoiler for the RT model we purchased. The seating is very comfortable and very roomy both in front seat and the back.

We both LOVE the hemi V-8, it runs on 4 cylinders until you punch it and then the Hemi kicks in and it goes..........

Pros: This cars purrs and growls!
Cons: Uncomfortable interior
We rented a Dodge Charger for a weekend and drove more than 2000 miles in it. What a car! Just parked in the parking space, you can practically hear it growl but when you start it up, it really does. It has a roomy interior, great stereo, tons of luxury and tons of power. With such a powerful engine, I wasn't surprised at the cost to keep it full of gas but honestly, I didn't mind. When I wanted it to climb up that hill at 75 mph, the car did not hesitate - it just gracefully flew past cars and around turns. My only complaint was that the seats were a little hard and the interior lacked imagination. Nevertheless, I loved the car and was sad to have to give it back to the rental agency.
