Pros: Even more power, refinement, Improved interior quality Cons: No exclusivity factor, interior styling with optional packages. The Bottom Line: Finally, a Mustang I could live with.
Over the past 25 some-odd years, Ford has tried desperately to make their Mustang look and perform like the original '60s fastbacks. If I only had a penny for every time Ford used the word "retro" or "nostalgic" to describe one of its new Mustangs. ...

Pros: V6 now worthy of the car, excellent value for the money Cons: Low on refinement, traction in the wet, all of the expected weaknesses The Bottom Line: The Mustang finally has a worthy base engine. Just get better tires and you'll be set.
Last spring I wrote a glowing review of the 2005 Mustang GT. It wasn't a perfect car--far from it. But as with the best cars its styling tells you everything you need to know, both the good and the bad. And every bit comes together to form a coherent ...

Pros: It's fast Cons: It's overpriced, it has a cheap interior, it's overpriced, did I mention it's overpriced. The Bottom Line: Don't buy it, it's not worth the money.
When Ford released the current generation of Mustang in 2005 I just knew I had to have one. The retro design body style took me right back to my 65 era Mustang. So I ordered a 2006 Mustang GT because I was so taken with the outward appearance. Never ...

Pros: V6 acceleration fastest under $20k, trunk space has increased, tall people fit in front seats Cons: Gas mileage is poor, lack of comfort in backseats, plastics abound, radio console looks dated The Bottom Line: The 2006 Mustang V6 Deluxe Coupe has decent performance for it's class ($20k coupes), and handles quite well on the road. Just be weary of roominess, comfort and blindspot clearance.

Pros: Classic muscle car, and highest initial quality reports, plus usability unmatched in class. Cons: For me, not much, except maybe I wish mods and upgrades were cheaper- LOL The Bottom Line: Don't compare to foreign convertibles, and look for a used one with factory warranty. Forget the V6
Enough with the V6 Reviews - I agree that the V6 engine is pretty crappy. Not enough engine for the noise, and not enough power for the gas mileage. First, a little background on how my love affair happened-- I was wanting a convertible, and ...

Pros: Chassis. Engine note. Stereo. Seats. "Muscle Car" personality. Uses regular fuel. Cons: Grabby clutch. "Muscle Car" personality. Interior materials. The Bottom Line: A true modern Muscle car. If you love this type of car, there is none better for the money. If you don't, why are you even reading this?
Apologies to women for the title, but "young person's car" just doesn't have the right ring to it, especially for the GT. I fell in love with the '06 Mustang's styling the first time I saw it. Finally, after so many years of the Fox-platform, Ford ...

Pros: It is a rocket. No question about it.
Quality was indeed job#1 Cons: No autoshift? The Bottom Line: Oh yeah I recomend this one- BUT don't waste your time on the V6 model, pony up for the GT V8.
Ever since I was a 'lil guy, I've always wanted my own muscle car and ever since I saw a certain movie called Bullitt that stared the king of cool, Steve McQueen; I've wanted a Mustang. The only problem was when I was getting my licence (2001) the then ...

Pros: look, price, intangible appeal Cons: bland performance, cheap interior bits The Bottom Line: Buy it for looks, not for performance.
This is a review of the 2006 Mustang coupe, six cylinder. The Ford Mustang was redesigned completely for 2006. This review is broken down by category. EXTERIOR: The new "retro" styling hearkens back to the muscle Mustangs of the late 1960s, ...

Pros: Mustangs have personality, fun-to-drive factor is high, improved quality and ergonomics, and fast (GT). Cons: Not quite as refined as some equivalent price-class imports, but most refined Mustang to date. The Bottom Line: Buy it if you like the 60's pony car retro concept updated - fast, stylish, and fun. Pass if you prefer ergonomics, efficiency, and conservative styling of practical cars.
Background: I have owned a VW, Nissan and two Mustang GT convertibles (1992 and 2006). Lest you assumed I am biased on Fords, note that I bought my Nissan while a Ford employee (despite the employee discount). The Mustangs were bought when I was no ...

Pros: Fast,Looks Good Cons: Rear seats The Bottom Line: Great car!
I drove this on a test drive, and I'm impressed. There's no better car on the market. Someone told me that there's a new Camaro coming out. I don't want it. I don't want to even drive it. There's no comparison, as the Mustang has returned! The Stangs of ...

Pros: Style, convertible operation ease, great handling, good gas mileage, front seat comfort. Cons: No trunk release button, small back seats, bad rear visibility, limited interior storage space. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a sporty fun family car, this is it. Great on short trips.
I never thought I'd get a convertible, but the things sitting in my driveway right now. Not a Ford person, I was amused to find myself attracted to the newer "retro" style Ford Mustang. I loved the sound of the GT and the Roche (spelling?), but I chose ...

Pros: ~Nice modern style of the 60's ~Tons of features available Cons: ~Gas mileage might not be up to certain people's want or need The Bottom Line: This is a car drivable in the city, highway, or even long distance.
2006 was another great year for the mustang. It holds the "new-age" version of the 60's mustang as the body style. The new body style mustang is only a year old, which could be good because they probably worked out the kinks from it's debut in 2005. I ...

Pros: Sporty looks, Good MPG. FUN! Cons: it's not a truck - I'm gonna miss my truck. The Bottom Line: Until they build a truck that gets 26 MPG then a nice sporty car that does will do the trick.
I just purchased a 2006 Ford Mustang with Pony package and 5 speed. It is also a "Stampede" edition which is basically just a different emblem on back and badge on interior - but only 500 made. I was interested in something with good gas mileage, ...

Pros: Affordable, powerful v6, quiet, comfortable, stylish. Cons: No release button for the trunk. No locking gas cap. Steering wheel not quite centered. The Bottom Line: Spunky and sporty car that will allow you to relive the nostalgia of the late 1960s at an affordable price. You'll be proud to own a new Mustang V6.
When I first saw sketches of the new 2005 Mustang in auto magazines I knew in my heart that I would one day own one. My first car was the 1969 Mustang Mach 1. I really loved it. The 2006 Mustang that I purchased brought back all the good memories from ...

Pros: Power, grips the road with good tires. Sound system Cons: Seats lose comfort on long trips. The Bottom Line: Its a beefy muscle car. Nothing like the 60's though.
Ok...now when my husband came home with the 2006 Mustang GT convertible. I thought he was nuts. However, since the first time I drove it, I fell in love. We have had it for a year now and I still get excited when I drive it. Such power from the get go. ...
