Pros: V6 engine, slick shifter, the usual Accord virtues Cons: Even with the six-speed not especially fun to drive The Bottom Line: A solid sedan with a great engine and the extra involvement provided by a clutch. But not especially fun to drive.
There have been rumors ever since the current Accord debuted three years ago that the V6 sedan would be available with a six-speed manual. But 2004 and 2005 came and went without the appearance of any such thing. Then 2006 rolled around and, what do you ...

Pros: 6-speed version is very rare, acceleration is great, comfort, and excellent MPG, too. Cons: No cons, just a few little nit picks. The Bottom Line: Highly recommended to anyone who needs a practical car, but still wants to retain some fun to drive.
A quick intro: For the past several years, I've driven a succession of Toyota Camry's. It started out with my moms old '96 and '98 versions. More recently, I owned my own '99 Camry, and two 2002 models. Read my reviews on the Camry, and you'll find ...

Pros: Value, comfortable, quiet, fast for 4-cylinder and good fuel economy, safe Cons: Mediocre tires, handling is not very sporty, stereo sound is OK at best The Bottom Line: I am happy with the 2006 Accord and recommend it to anyone. It is comfortable, practical and performs well. But if you need a sporty ride, look elsewhere.
Although I have been happy with the car my mother drove (2000 Mitsubishi Galant ES), the car lacked something I now consider essential - side and head airbags. It only got 3 stars in side crash test. It was a great car ...

Pros: Zingy engine, all-inclusive price, innocuous-but-fine looks, great interior, great price Cons: no memory seats, notchy transmission, no blow-your-mind torque The Bottom Line: You can't go wrong with the Accord. And major kudos to Honda for offering a stick with the big V6 engine for the first time (in a sedan, anyway).
Somewhat on the spur of the moment, I leased a 2006 Accord EX V6 6MT (that's a lot of acronyms) this afternoon. I'd read about this new iteration of the venerable Accord on Epinions and in car magazines (it just placed 2nd in a comparison of $30k cars in ...

Pros: Luxurious interior, refinement, styling inside and out, plenty of power from the 4-cylinder engine.
Cons: Road noise, ride quality still trails behind competition The Bottom Line: Excellent family sedan that is best at being all things to most people.
About the 2003-2006 Honda Accord: The Honda Accord was introduced in 1976 as a larger alternative to the Honda Civic. By 2003, the Accord had already evolved from seven generations. Available in both sedan and coupe bodies, the 7th generation ...

Pros: Gas mileage, roominess, practicality, and, of course, Honda’s reliability and dependability Cons: Too many thieves want this car The Bottom Line: A good practical car that is safe and economical.
After driving six-cylinder cars for more than 20 years, I had to think twice about buying this Honda Accord LX SE (stands for Special Edition) sedan, equipped with an inline four. 2.4 liter i-VTEC engine that is rated at 166 hp and 160 ft-lb of torque. ...

Pros: Nice car. Good amenities. Cons: The competition is really tough, so shop around. The Bottom Line: The Accord is a great car, but it's competition isn't exactly a collection of lemons. Shop around.
I'm not much of a car enthusiast so my review won't be bogged down with a lot of technical details, but rather will focus on the practicality of this car. I drove both these cars (hybrid and not) on a test drive and was happy with it. It's a nice car ...

Pros: Sporty performance, Acura-like interior, Excellent value for price paid Cons: Cheap spare tire cover, overly-sensitive brakes, uninspiring exterior, front seat design The Bottom Line: While the Accord isn't the best looking vehicle, it is more than satisfying behind the wheel. Those who give the outward appearance a chance will not be disappointed.
Honda, for over 20 years, has continued to perfect an award-winning formula for its mid-size sedan, the Accord. It has been a perennial top seller in the US and has been on the 10Best list of Car and Driver magazine more than any other vehicle, ...

Pros: Outstanding Quality, Exceptional V6, Safety Features, Reliability Cons: It cost too much. There are better values. The Bottom Line: It's the best family car available. If you'd rather spend a few extra dollars for the best vehicle, than this is the car for you.
The Accord, along with Toyota's Camry, has long been established as the benchmarks of the industry. While the 2006 Camry was certainly good, the Accord is without a doubt, the class leader. Now that the 2007 Camry has arrived, I will need to take a ...

Pros: refined interior
excellent value for most trims
silky smooth transmission Cons: boring outside, styling
XM difficult to use
awkward ignition The Bottom Line: The Accord does a lot of little things right and all the big things really well. Best car in its class, hands down.
When I was married, I somehow ended up inheriting my wife's 1997 Nissan Sentra, for which we agreed I could replace when it reached the end of its natural lifespan. Between then and now, our other car died and we replaced it with a BMW 330i which became ...

Pros: Great Gas Mileage and decent power. Cons: CD-Player has problem with burned CD's, no IPOD jack The Bottom Line: Get the 4 cylinder for better mileage. The power is good enough.
Update: The CD-player has problem with burned CD's. On my car, the CD's start to skip towards the end. It seems to happen only on disc 1 and 2. I talked to Honda and they acknowledged this is a problem and is not covered. The CD-player plays non-burned ...

Pros: Wonderful Nav System; Build Quality; Firm Seats; Price; No Shop Time; Side Airbags; Bland Looks Cons: No Auto-Dimming Mirror?; Brakes Are Lousy - a long critcism of Honda; Poor Gas Mileage The Bottom Line: Purchase this without hesitation and plan to add an auto-dimming mirror immediately. You can purchase better brakes when the original brakes wear down.
I owned many luxury cars including Jaguar and Porche. They were in the shop a lot immediately after purchase. The Accord is far cheaper and build quality is far superior. 2006 is the 3rd year for this model so Honda worked all the issues (if there ...

Pros: Excellent performance, looks (in the coupe at least),luxurious interior, well built and solid feeling. Cons: Not all-wheel drive, tight access into driver's side rear seat, no HID headlights. The Bottom Line: The Accord Coupe EX V6 6 speed MT with Navigation strikes an excellent balance between function, comfort, performance, and looks.
With this car Honda has found an excellent balance between function, comfort, performance, and looks. This car does not possess the raw styling or power of a true sports car, but its certainly not boring and I find it fun to drive (certainly more so ...

Pros: Excellent Value, Good MPG, GREAT Safety, High quality feel, never let you down feeling Cons: Slight throttle lag, Can't complain, this is a great car for any price range The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. Super hassle free. Elegant, quiet, nimble and frugal all at the same time. Nice to blend in to traffic rather than stand out.
None of my friends could comprehend trading a 10,000 mile Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution for this car (paid off I might add). I can say that after almost two years of ownership of my Accord I do not regret my decision one bit. I decided that while my ...
