Pros: Upscale ambiance, refined, roomy Cons: Handling could be more agile, seats could be more comfortable The Bottom Line: Though other minivans lead in one area or another, the Honda remains the best overall.
After driving the new 2006 Kia Sedona, I drove across the street and drove the 2006 Honda Odyssey. I just reviewed the Odyssey last year, but my memory needed refreshing. At any rate, I drove a Touring last year. This time I drove the base LX trim. ...

Pros: Lots of luxuries; Excellent safety ratings and features; Very roomy Cons: Steering wheel not easy to adjust; Only partial stow away seating The Bottom Line: This is an excellent minivan- the best minivan I have sampled so far.
When you have a need to haul six or more passengers from place to place, only a few types of vehicles can perform the task. There are a few larger SUVs that include a third row of seats to accommodate more passengers but most other cars and trucks ...

Pros: Lots of features, fully loaded, reliable, comfortable, and big. Cons: We have no regrets what so ever with this vehicle. The Bottom Line: If you have a big family or if you family is growing, then you need a minivan that will give you safety, comfort, and convenience.
About two months ago my dad decided he wanted to get a mini van to replace his old 1989 Mazda MPV. So we discussed it and decided that the new one will either be a Toyota Sienna or the Honda Odyssey. Mazda was out of the ...

Pros: Safety! Convenience. Performance. Stowable 8th seat. Dual power sliders. Styling. Relative fuel economy. Creature Comforts. Cons: Limited steering wheel adjustment. Rear visibility. Road noise, jittery ride. Center tray cupholders. No coinholder. The Bottom Line: A great minivan with leather, heated seats, moonroof and flexible seating. One of the safest vehicles on the road today, plus best-in-class performance and fuel economy.
Purchase Decision: Our previous van, a 20

Odyssey LX, had been problem free for 5 years. With the arrival of a third child, there were four reasons I wanted a new van. The main two were safety related. ...

Pros: Handles (kinda) like a car, nice interior, gadgetry galore Cons: No telescoping steering wheel, auto up/down on driver's window only, no iPod/MP3 integration The Bottom Line: This vehicle's great. Honestly, I don't know how you can argue against the mix of drivability, practicality, comfort, and value.
With the expected arrival of child number 2 in early October, my wife and I decided that it was finally time to start shopping for something larger and more practical than her BMW 325 wagon. Not that her wagon isn't useful, but repeated back strains from ...

Pros: good reliability, roomy, handles well on acceleration, braking, and driving Cons: fuel economy not as good as could be The Bottom Line: Nice vehicle that handles well and is very roomy. Good reliablility makes this a safe bet.
Let me start out by saying this is going to be a review by an Odyssey owner, if you want a lot of specs, I included some at the bottom of the review, but for a breakdown by model you should check with the dealer as not all items are on all models. I ...

Pros: Spacious seating for tall people, Good handling, Sporty Styling, Decent Reliability, Great Cargo Volume. Cons: Honda LIED! I get between 15 and 20 MPG on the highway!!! The Bottom Line: Honda LIED about the gas mileage. Does NOT get near 27MPG. Lucky if you get between 15 and 20 MPG. I received notice of a class action lawsuit regarding this!
UPDATE: After a year of driving the Odyssey, I can say that I wish I had NOT bought the Odyssey. Honda has flat out LIED about the gas mileage. It is not even close to the 27MPG that they stated. We are lucky if we get 15 to 20MPG even on the highway. Do ...

Pros: Comfortable, intuitive, sleek design. Cons: On the low side of fuel efficiency but tolerable. The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. Fantastic fit and finish, well thought out cabin design and good use of space, nooks and crannies.
I bought my 2006 Honda Odyssey in June 2006. We opted for the EX trim line which is the second most basic model. The only add-on that I chose was the rear back up sensors because I had always driven small cars and was concerned about maneuvering such a ...

Pros: Power, styling, versatility Cons: Very few minor annoyances The Bottom Line: If you have more than two kids, bite the bullet and get a mini-van. Just be sure it's the Odyssey!
I'll put an update at the top, as we've now had the Odyssey for two yers! We have had ZERO problems. Simply - none. We moved earlier in the year, and folding down the back seats and taking out the front ones, although heavy, not impossible to move, ...

Pros: Smooth ride, versatility inside Cons: Odd air system, snow buildup in wheel wells The Bottom Line: A smooth ride, comfort, and flexibility inside more than make up for odd panel instruments and snow buildup in the wheel wells.
A couple of months ago, my wife and I finally relented and bought our first family minivan. The decision was provoked by my wife's pregnancy, and the realization that our Subaru Forrester's back seat could not fit three child seats. We were a little ...

Pros: Nice cabin creature features. Cons: The ride and road noise is terrible. The Bottom Line: This is my sisters car. Good thing because I would never own one due to ride and noise levels.
