2006 Lincoln Zephyr

Pros: Solid, ample power, nice interior, quiet.
Cons: A few missing features...bluetooth, Sirius, side turn indicators

The Zephyr, which I bought at the end of the model year (and yes...I knew they were changing the name) is a great car. Good fit and finish, more than adequate power, and good comfort level.

Missing features...cornering lamps, side or mirror mounted turn signals, rear backup sensors, and at least an Aux input for Sirius radio on the THX-II certified sound system. Bluetooth would be nice too.

Overall it is a good value, but just a few additions would make it a superb car.

Pros: Interior: Comfort, Sound system rocks! good navigation system.
Cons: Power, Engine problems.

I have been driving my new Zephyr for approx. 1000 klicks. I have had it in the shop twice for timing/gearing problems (lag and engine light comes on both times) I REALLY WANT to like this car and love the appointments and ride. I sacrificed much in the way of handling and power from my 2002 TL Type S I replaced and just pray that I have seen the last of the dealership minus maintenance checks. I was leery of getting this car , but happy to save the thousands of dollars vs. the other cars I shopped (Audi A4, Saab 9-3 Aero, TL,) with comparable features THX II, Navigation, heated/cooled seats...
Unfortunately, I cannot convince myself that it was a wise decision to buy a Ford with 4 days in the shop out of 12!!!
