Pros: Gas mileage, solid build construction, great acceleration and power. Cons: Gas strut assisted tailgate opening would be great. The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this pickup, good gas mileage, solid build construction, Nissan's long standing track record for reliability. Definitely worth a hard look.
Having never owned a pickup before, I was somewhat confused what direction to go. Having just moved into a new home with no landscaping, a pickup truck was pretty much a necessity. I considered buying a full size truck, but talked myself out of it due to ...

Pros: Excellent quality
Rail system is awesome!
Comfortable on long trips Cons: Heavy tailgate
Turning radius
The Bottom Line: Excellent value for the money. Toyota is over priced considering the quality and reliability is the same.
I bought this new in November. It was my first truck in more that 15 years. I opted for the Crew Cab with the 5ft bed as I was concerned about the turning radius. It's two months later and I felt I'd been driving it long enough to give a fair review, ...

Pros: Breathtaking acceleration with those variable intake valves; easy into-and-out-of 4 wheel drive. Cons: Interior is monotone gray...looks cheap. Nissan ought to dress it up a little.
My 2006 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab 4x4 6-speed stick is officially the best vehicle I've ever owned. It passed 96,000 miles today, and there's still 40% left on my front brakepads (replaced at 53K). My rear brake pads? Well, they've never been replaced and still have 35% left. Amazing. The engine...those 265 horses really do take off in 2nd and 3rd gears, even 4th. I give it a diet of 91 octane and use Mobil i 5W-30 exclusively, and it's rewarded me with defect-free service. I am proactive about changing fluids, so even the power steering rack has been flushed. The payoff is this, my red wagon. It still blazes down the road; it still gets 21 MPG in the summer, 19 in the winter. I won't think of replacing it until I hit 200K, probably in 2012---but I guarantee you that my next one will be a Frontier. (By then I hope they'll wise up and give me a six-spped in the high-end trim.)

I LOVE MY FRONTIER!

Pros: powerful 265 horses, great handling, smooth ride, great new body styling Cons: gas mileage is poor, large turning radius,
This is my second frontier. My first one was a 2003 XE-V6 4x4.The only reason I traded it in was for the massive increase in power. I loved my trusty 2003 but the allure of 265hp was too much for me to pass up. My 2003 gave me a longer bed, but my 2006 SE-V6 4x4 has so many cool gadgets including the neat bed rail system and the radio controls on the steering wheel.(I am a sucker for stuff like that)
The only thing I miss is the great gas mileage. The 2003 was around 18 to 20 mpg. The 2006 has a slight pull to the right side of the road when passing gas stations. I only clear about 15 mpg with a strong wind pushing me and if my speed remains consistently around 80 mph. I love the macho look that my old '03 had, but the new up-to-date Tonka chunky look is tough also. I do recommend this truck to anyone looking for the power of a larger truck without the hassles of not fitting in parking spots and your own garage.

Pros: Good Gas 30 mile a gallon Cons: Little seats to me
I love this truck . I am so pleased with the way it rides. I had a dodge truck before this one and What a difference. I am Not Use to the fine inside that they put into the inside of the truck too. It is a Xe and Has Power everything. A sliding back window With a bed liner all ready installed. Plenty of room for grocery inside I LOVE THIS. The Motor is Peeppy but I do Have a stick shift. That always helps with the pick up. I think that I need to get a bug shield though a rock has all ready cracked the wind shield once. I believe its a design problem. I thought that cleaning the extra wheel piece in the design would be a problem But its not. I think you will like this trucks ride and workable inside and bed.. Has a small 3rd
seat in the king cab that I cant use its to low to sit on. Other then that . I think its going to be my truck for a while..
