Pros: This is a great vehicle for an active lifestyle, this is a real truck. Cons: Gas mileage is marginal, I get about 300 miles on a tank. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a real truck SUV that's as comfortable in the mud as on the highway, this is it.
Bought the Xterra primarily for the wife and baby, I've always been a big fan of Nissan as they are very dependable vehicles.(I already have a 2001 Maxima) The Xterra is nice because it is a real truck, not a car trying to pretend to be a truck. ... read more

Pros: Solid, agile, responsive, useful, easy clean plastic everywhere! Hauls adults well. Cons: Gas mileage (what did you expect!?), no auto-dimmer on side view mirrors. The Bottom Line: If you want a well rounded vehicle, take a look at the Xterra. If it won't be used as 'off road', get the SE. The added extras are worth it.
Enter the 2006 Nissan Xterra 4x2. Flavor = SE. At the 3,200 mile marker on the odometer, I am re-assured that the final $27,600 price tag was well worth every penny spent (and not just because I spent it!) Going into the purchase of a new vehicle ... read more

Pros: Powertrain, interior room, nifty features, handling for a truck Cons: fuel economy (expected with an SUV), standard radio The Bottom Line: This is a great SUV worth buying. I recommend to anyone who wants a reliable and powerful SUV.
I purchased a 2006 Nissan Xterra after I traded in my 2003 Jeep Liberty. The Jeep Liberty was a good truck, but I wanted to look for something with more power and refinement. I settled on the Nissan Xterra. I've had the Xterra for about a month and right ... read more

Pros: Speed/powertrain, agility, quiet, rugged, storage areas, handling, simple to operate. Cons: Average radio, lots of plastic, the backdoors are narrow. The Bottom Line: I recommend this SUV because of its price point combined with excellent performance, reliability, style, safety and rugged features.
My model is a 2006 Nissan Xterra 4x4 S with all options. Describe your experience using this product: I've had this SUV now for a little over 3,000 miles. One 1,200 mile road trip was totally fine. I love this SUV overall! I ... read more

Pros: Fast, comfortable, easy to clean, fantastic off-road capability. Cons: Spokes on rims get pretty beat-up on rock gardens, but they look cool. The Bottom Line: I use this SUV like an SUV and have enjoyed it every day since buying it. It always surprises me at they end of a 4 wheeling weekend. Love it!
I've owned this Xterra for 6 months now and have to say I've found that it's the perfect SUV. True to it's history it's a rugged, real thing, not too fancy utility vehicle. The ride is much nicer than earlier Xterras but it's still quite the performer ... read more

Pros: Price, Look, Durability, Function, Everything Cons: I have to drive slow to get a good mpg. haha
I love my X-Terra. Sure, she has the typical SUV cons like gas milage (dug) but having known that when I bought her, I guess I can't complain on it now. Other than mpg though, she's pretty perfect, imo. She is fast, looks great,

Pros: 265 Horsepower, quiet cabin, excellent handling, lots of cargo space, 4wd, power windows and locks. Cons: Gas mileage. That's about it!!
The 2006 X-terra has a medium framed body with style that sets it apart from the rest of the pack. I bought mine in April and live in Wisconsin and I can't wait to see how she handles in the snow!! The X-terra was voted 2006 Motor Trend SUV/Truck of

Pros: Powerful engine, comfortable ride, rugged good looks, roomy interior, fun to drive Cons: bumpy ride in back seat, there are a lot of them on the road
The 2006 Xterra was my first SUV, but I test-drove at least 8 other models before buying it... and the Xterra was the best by far. While it may not be "fancy" or "luxurious" by most standards, it's a really good looking vehicle, and extremely fun to

Pros: 1) Simple, attractive instrument panel, 2) Power (265 HP), 3) Practical storage space Cons: A bumpy ride for backseat passengers
What a great SUV, and not some watered-down, wannabe rugged model like the Ford Escape or Chevy Equinox. The handling is responsive and the interior is versatile. Plenty of power for towing boats, campers, etc. The only downside I can see is if the

Traded my 2002 Tacoma crew cab in on a new Xterra S. Got 19k for the Taco and paid 25,900 for the xterra. I have 560 miles on it and the mileage was 17.8 mpg on this first tank. I installed a K&N Air Filter when I fueled up and will see if it does as

Pros: Style, speed, stability, luxurious, yet rugged! Cons: Only thing missing is an outside temperature gauge!
I have owned SUV's for the past 12 years and the Xterra continues to be the BEST! I bought my first Xterra the first year they came out and LOVED it! Yes, the power wasn't great, but it's an SUV and was basically made to be off road. I live in the
