Pros: Nice looking vehicle. Good legroom both front and back. Accelerates well. Handles well. Cons: Comfort. Visibility. Electrical problems. Steering problems. The Bottom Line: It hasn't been worth the money and we only have 52,000 miles on it.
Bought our G6 in December of 2006 with about 6,000 miles on it. I'm pretty sure it had been a rental. After 4 plus years we now have 52,000 miles. My wife had a Pontiac Sunbird when we got married and really liked it so she wanted ... read more

Pros: Gorgeous lines, above-average steering feel, lots of features for the money. Cons: Low-pulse-rate road manners, limited headroom, inconsistent cabin quality, junky six-speed manual. The Bottom Line: The G6 GTP--like the Accord and Solara it competes with--is more of a sleek family car than a sports coupe. In other words, Pontiac's still not walking its talk.
My Experience When Pontiac's G6 sedan debuted in the fall of 2004, it did so amid a flurry of high-profile ads and product-placement stunts (remember the Oprah giveaway?). And after being drilled with enough G6 advertisements myself, Pontiac's ... read more

Pros: - Cons: - The Bottom Line: -
For our recent trip in Phoenix, we decided to rent a midsize car. Unfortunately, the dates we booked the car were not ideal, as all the rental companies raised their prices to coincide with the football bowl games in late December. So, just for fun, we ... read more

Pros: Styling, room, power Cons: Not very fun to drive, automatic needs more ratios, manual needs better shifter, comfort The Bottom Line: The GTP is better than the GT, but still is not much fun to drive.
The Pontiac G6 and I got off on the wrong foot last year. I loved the styling of the concept, and while the production car has less flowing lines it's still much racier than most midsize sedans. But then I drove the car in the sportiest trim then ... read more

Pros: Handling, Style, Trunk Space, Sound System, Inexpensive Part Replacement (Interior) Cons: Easy to lose stuff inside the car The Bottom Line: I have no major complaints. NONE.
I purchased my 06 GT GTP last year in May. I looked for well over a month and had NO idea what I wanted when I started out. I saw a couple and the first one I had seen didn't really catch my eye because it was this funky teal green color and it really ... read more

Pros: Smooth ride, great price, strong braking, roomy, excellent gas mileage w/4 cylinder Cons: Electric steering needs refinement by Pontiac The Bottom Line: Good car/great price. It's not a luxury car, but you get what you need plus some nice extras. Sometimes it's fun to drive too. Go for it!
-Own a 2006 Pontiac G6/4 Cylinder 2.4L for 9 months now. Bought the car used from a dealer (was a previous rental). -Lots of room, great performance from a 4 cylinder, it is very peppy. Many people who bought the 6 cylinder G6 complain about the gas ... read more

Pros: handling, looks, feel Cons: leaky sunroof. The Bottom Line: Great car for the money
Let's just start off by saying this car is a darn good deal. I would like to remind people reading other reviews on this site to take them as a grain of salt, and that they should only make up their mind once they have tested the car themselves. There ... read more

Pros: Sports car looks, stylish European interior, good value for the money. Cons: Not nearly as fast as it looks, poor side visibility. The Bottom Line: A great looking car that may not perform like it looks, but still a lot of fun to drive.
In high school a friend of mine drove a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am, the predecessor to the new Pontiac G6. My friend's Grand Am never really inspired much admiration or respect from me. It was a decent car with sporty styling, but it had an ugly interior and ... read more

Pros: It's great price, sleek looks, and average gas savings Cons: They could have used better queality when building this vehicle. The Bottom Line: I would say that if you have a long commute, this is the car for you. It is comfortable and has a huge trunk, for shopping and storage.
I love this car, I have hardly had any problems with it. Besides normal wear and tear, I have 84,000 miles on mine and I hardly notice the age. When I was shopping for a car I first filled out the paperwork for a 06 grand prix, that car was beautiful, ... read more

Pros: Good handling. Has a nice sporty feel. Peppy performance. Fairly quiet. Cons: Poor seating comfort. Bad instrumentation at night.
Currently have as a rental vehicle. Good styling, average interior. good leg room for a 6' footer. Controls are easy to reach. The G6 has a couple of fatal flaws. Would never own one and would never rent one again. Beyond the ample legroom, the

The Pontiac G6 is wonderful. From engine to exhaust, the G6 is a great buy. The engine runs very smoothly. The interior is roomy. The backseat is very accessable for car seats (and includes THREE shoulder belts!). The trunk has ample room to store
