Pros: Handles very well. Cons: Dash vents, door lock alert is rude & unsafe, cup holders are bad The Bottom Line: try driving with coffee before you buy; be sure to lock/unlock car at the dealership to see if you like the key remote
A bit pricey but buying any new car is painful to the wallet. The 2006 Suzuki Verona is a nice and sturdy sedan. It has a road HOLD button which really helps in snow and ice (remember to turn this off for acceleration when the road clears). Seats ...

Pros: Smooth engine, smooth ride, price, warranty, standard options, looks/styling Cons: Suzuki stopped making this car, engine power is adequate- but could be better
I have had my 2006 Verona for a year now, and have put 20,000 trouble free miles on it. I love this car. The engine is very smooth. Car handles well, but is on the softly sprung side. Engine has enough power to merge onto the highway etc., but could be more powerful. Mileage has been better than Suzuki listed on the window sticker. I average 25 mpg. The Verona is an excellent value for the money. I would definately buy one again. Unfortunately, 2006 was the last model year, and it isn't going to be replaced. My dealer tells me that Suzuki is still making this car for Asia and Europe, so finding parts will not be a problem.

Pros: comfortable Cons: poorly built, too many problems, rebadged Dawoo(Korean company that went bankrupt and was bought by GM)
I bought this car new,and have had nothing but trouble. It has 10000 miles on it now and has been in the shop five times. 1:heater would not work;broken temperature control cable.car had 600 miles.
2:paint was bubbled up;all four doors and quarter panel had to be repainted.car had 4000 miles.
3:speedometer needle fell off(no kidding,it fell completely off and was sitting in the bottom of the gauge housing).car had 5500 miles
4:stalling during sharp acceleration(very dangerous, would stall and almost die,not much fun when pulling into traffic).Dealer could not do nothing to repair this problem.must be a characteristic of this car.It has done it since new.
5:hard starting when cold.Eventually got the car started. The dealer I bought the car from quit dealing with Suzuki.New dealer is one and a half hours away and told me if it was running they could do nothing for me,but would hook it up to their diagnostic machine for a fee.
In addition to all the problems listed the car has several other small problems, like rattles and strange noises, loose seat, storage compartment does not shut properly.
