Pros: 90+ mpg, reliable, fun, fun, fun Cons: Small tires, expensive maintenance, average brakes, only 125cc's
I purchased my 2006 Yamaha Vino 125 about six weeks ago. Since then I have put close to 1,000 miles on the odometer. The bike is a lot of fun to ride and excellent for commuting and urban riding. On the other hand, the bike is probably on the small ...
Pros: 125cc can keep up with most urban traffic, good braking, relatively comfortable, 75MPG. Cons: No factory case, small fuel tank, requires motorcycle license in many states, somewhat harsh suspension
I purchased a new Silver 2006 Yamaha Vino 125 after doing a lot of research on scooters. I have wanted to get a scooter for about the last seven years, but always was too heavy to do it. Now that I have lost 105 pounds, I decided to look. I had ...
Pros: Very fun to drive, attractive, 80 mpg, good in-town cruising speed, reliable Cons: Must shut off engine to open storage, small gas tank, poor color choices, rides rough
I bought this 2006 Yamaha Vino 125 motor scooter in August '06 to save money when the price of gas went over $3/gallon. It started out getting 75 mpg and now that it's broken in (with 1100 miles) it gets 80 mpg. Everyone at the dealer was very ...
Pros: A perfect urban back up transporter . Great mileage, low maintenance needs. Easy parking. Cons: Doesn't like rough road, pot holes due to small wheels and shocks. No highway travel.
EpinionYamaha Vino Motorscooter 2006 50cc Senior citizen report . As the gas prices began their climb in 2006, we thought it would be a good idea to consider a scooter for our "second car." I had owned a 1968 vespa new in 1968 and ...
Pros: Nice looking, fun, great gas mileage. Cons: Small gas tank and poor placement, very little storage, no accessories.
I have been wanting a scooter since I first test drove the Vespa a few years ago. I wanted something that had more power than a 50CC, but was not too big an engine. The Vino qualifies and is great looking to boot. The Vino is a lot of fun and I've put ...
Vino 125cc: Italian Style, Japanese pricing by oldskool5150 ,Jun 08 '07
Pros: good gas saver! Fun, easy to learn on; zippy enough for a lighter person. Cons: battery is an issue on mine, doesn't start first try; however, it always starts
I have owned my '06 Vino 125cc for some time now, 2 years i suppose. My wife learned to ride it (having NO motocycle experience) and loves it now. She zips all around. I ride 2-up with her in back, and it still pulls pretty well, actually. The 2 of us weigh a combined 240 lbs, any more and it is a little slow. Parking is so easy around town, we often park right on the sidewalk, no problems yet knock knock knock ;) The japanese version of a vespa, nice looks, but half the price, and just as good except slower than a Vespa 150cc, and probably easier to maintain. Under seat storage easily holds glove and helmet, or groceries. ENJOY this zippy little corner machine.
Pros: Gas mileage, looks, good brakes. Cons: Hard, non-adjustable suspension.
Good acceleration, mine would top at about 55mph and I was getting about 70mpg's. It is a good looking scooter with Yamaha reliability. Suspension is pretty hard and non adjustable. If you ever ride on brick roads, you'll feel them.
Good scoot for the money.
Pros: I produce more gas than the vino consumes. Cons: I produce more gas than the vino consumes.
The only bad thing for me about driving the vino is I tend to get carried away slipping past long lines of cars stopped at red lines so I can break in at the front of the line. One day someone is gonna open a passenger door in front of me and.. Blammo. So the question is, do I lose more time off my life by dieing in a wreck than I would waiting on traffic. I paid up my life insurance and I take my chances.
