I love this vehicle!

by fitnesscc
Nov 18 '07

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handling, SH-AWD, power, comfort, technology (Tech Pkg.), reliability, flexibility.
Cons: Modest mpg (premium fuel), slight turbo lag.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended if you want SPORT in your sport utility.

I've owned the RDX for 6 months and couldn't be happier. Is it perfect? No, but how many vehicles are...and we're talking about a wonderfully-equipped SUV for $35k. Handling: the SH-AWD system provides handling that is incredible. I traded a TSX ...

Not the best SUV, but a damned good SUV.

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: Yes

Pros: ride, fit and finish, quality, many techno-toys
Cons: still some turbo lag, lots of toys but not the best of toys
The Bottom Line: Yes and No. Yes if money is an issue. No if you've got the dough.

I traded in my 2001 BMW 330xi because of maintenance and repair costs. The RDX can not compete but is a fine alternative when you want a small SUV. The RDX handles very well for this class of vehicle, great brakes, good handling and once past that ...

Turbo Lag makes car unsafe!!

by wgator58
Sep 15 '07

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Looks and handling
Cons: Turbo Lag could get you kill!!
The Bottom Line: If they ever fix the turbo lag I'd say buy it. If they don't fix the turbo lag I say don't walk but run from it.

The body of the the car is great. For a small SUV the storage is about right. The cup holder in front is a little weird, the way the cover opens the driver can hit it when getting his or her drink and spill it. If you need the back seat cup holder you can ...

Happy with my RDX

by vetteboyfan
Jun 19 '07 - Updated Jun 25 '07

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Everything standard, SH-AWD rocks!
Cons: Hard ride, conservative color options.
The Bottom Line: Drives like a sports car, but has the room of a SUV.

When I started looking for a crossover, I test drove all the usual suspects. I drove the BMW X3 and found it really plain, and by the time I added the options the price was insane. Right after driving the X3 I went to the Acura dealership and was ...

Performance

May 16 '07 - Updated May 18 '07

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Amazing Handling, stable, responsive. Solid, versatile, overall impressive.
Cons: 0-40kph acceleration is slow, back seat comfort.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, and put cushions on the seats.

Unlike most people who drive the car, I actually took it to a specialized track. I was shocked at what this car can do. -First test: Traction- Sitting on rollers with the right front wheel being the only wheel with traction you can let go of the ...

This is probably the perfect example of what a crossover SUV should be.

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Acura reliability, comfort and convenience.
Cons: Price, small engine makes this SUV not nearly as fast as it looks.
The Bottom Line: I think it's a great car, and if I were trading in my Acura on a new SUV, I'd probably get this one.

Recently, (Today, actually) I had the misfortune of needing to take my 2003 Acura TL-S in for service. This visit required an overnight stay for my car, and I was given a 2007 RDX as a loaner. As I've not had it for more than a few hours, I'm not going ...

Powertrain Blues

by zznalg
Nov 14 '06 - Updated Jun 07 '07

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Handling, Practicality, Reliability, Value, Comfortable Seats, not too big
Cons: Extremely sluggish off the line, dangerously unreliable and unpredictable power delivery, no available manual.
The Bottom Line: Fatally flawed power delivery. With a manual transmission, engine tweaks, more sound insulation and a more compliant ride, the RDX could earn 5 stars. As is, avoid it.

The following is based upon 17,000 miles with the RDX after 7 months of ownership: I'm extremely disappointed in the powertrain. Over all, the RDX is worthy of some praise. The vehicle appears to be extremely solid and built of one piece, good ...

Perfect vehicle except...

by dongeeL
Nov 10 '06

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Perfect interior.
Cons: Turbo delay. Poor gas mileage considering its engine size. Pricey for what it is.
The Bottom Line: First class accommodation without being too large. Perfect size. Turbo lag does exist.

I am against writing a car review based on a 30-minute test ride, because it takes a long time to learn a car's behavior. However, I am going to make an exception here. With both mine and my wife's car passing 6-year mark, I have been looking for at ...

Awesome car, but it's missing a few things

by dostoyevsky77
Nov 04 '06

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good handling, luxurious interior, peppy turbocharged engine
Cons: PAX seat is not powered, no seat "memory", bluetooth only on tech package
The Bottom Line: Awesome car. A definate must to consider. I kinda want one now too.

I bought this car for my wife. I own a TSX myself, so I will be bringing in some comparisons from my experience there (which is marvelous; 9 our of 10). First, this "car" is awesome. It handles like it wants to be a sports sedan, but it has the ...

Disappointed with noise ride
by madrdx
Apr 30 '07
Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No
Pros: Lots of storage.
Cons: The noises inside the car and rough ride totally unacceptable for its price.
I can't believe all the good reviews on the RDX, but I have to admit that if you are spanish you will love this car because you will heard MARACAS all the time. The road noise and suspension are unacceptable for its price. You will feel the vibration of

Very Happy - Owned 2007 Maxda CX-7 previously

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Handling, drivetrain, audio system, looks, Fit, finish, quality. Good gas mileage.
Cons: After 1 week have not discovered any negatives. I am moved back over to Acura.
What a nice package! On paper the RDX and the Mazda CX-7 with Tech package are nearly identical. I took delivery on the CX-7 5 months ago and was not real pleased. Poor gas mileage and an overall lack of refinement. Not so with the RDX. I just got

Major Flop
by rbelkin
Feb 03 '07
Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No
Pros: Fit, finish
Cons: Ugly, ride unacceptably harsh, turbo lag & noise, pricey & restrictive option packages.
I am actually an Acura fan and owner (2003 MDX), but this one is a flop... except for usual Acura outstanding fit and finish, especially interior. Want an option? Sorry, you can't have it without paying thousands for a package that includes many you

A huge disappointment, stiff, bumpy ride, overlooked amenity
by sanfrandan
Jan 12 '07
Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No
Pros: Price, styling.
Cons: Choppy ride, no memory on the electric driver's seat.
I received the brochure from Acura and was so impressed by the way it looked and the amenities that I could not wait to test drive it. So off to the dealership the next weekend. It looked great, interior was styled nicely and it felt pretty luxurious.

More car than Nissan Murano
by mdellarc
Aug 06 '06
Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Acura Quality
Cons: BMW has the better interior
I like this car/SUV/Sportster. Its four-cylinder, 2.3-liter i-VTEC engine is made powerful by a two-stage turbocharger. However, the acceleration isn't all that impressive or dramatic. Unlike other Acuras, the acceleration isn't perfectly smooth. (It
