Pros: Great gas mileage. 40mpg/30city. Very roomy.
Cons: The cruise doesn't slow down when going down a steep hill. Glove box is small.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a gas saver at a decent price. And best of all its AMERICAN MADE.

I recently bought my 2007 Malibu. Its been a great car. It has a lot of good features i.e. Avg. Mpg, Oil Life, trip counter, and so on, (all on the stereo screen.) I like the fact I can shift in to low gear and shift gears myself without the use of a ... read more

Pros: Fuel economy, trunk size, price
Cons: Factory tires
The Bottom Line: I recommend this car to anyone. It is an excellent value for the price, and the fuel economy is amazing!

When our minivan developed some major problems, and we were preparing for my husband's deployment to Iraq, we knew we had to have a new car. We chose the Malibu for our family of 5 because of price, roominess, and fuel economy. We've had it for a ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: roomy, good gas mileage up to 34mpg, looks nice
Cons: I wish the basic model came standard with more features
The Bottom Line: I think that this is a good family car and it's reasonably priced, with good safety ratings. It's safe, sleek, comfortable, and reliable.

I recently purchased this car as my first 'new car'. I previously owned a 99 Cutlass Olds, which was a V6, had low miles and ran well, but I wanted something more reliable and since I just had a baby; I wanted to make sure he was safe. I don't do a lot ... read more

It's an improvement - I think

by

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: No

Pros: roomy inside
Cons: no performance...cheap interior/exterior
The Bottom Line: it's a GM, it's cheap, but has a lot of room.

I had a 2007 Malibu rental for an entire week in June. It was a "free upgrade" from a Ford Focus. Now, I am not fan of GM, or any American car maker, but for the same price as a Kia Rio, I was not going to complain. Exterior Upon first class, ... read more

Look to Accord or Camry!

Pros: standard auto headlights, good gas mileage
Cons: loose steering, boring interior and exterior, poor value
Don't even bother with a test drive. Wait for the redesigned 2008 malibu if anything. Very loose steering makes this vehicle a disaster. Not to mention the incredibly boring interior and exterior. I recommend Accord or Camry for something similar in size ... read more

Pros: New car smell, controls on steering wheel.
Cons: Rear window broken with less than 4k miles on the car, lack of power.
Just rented a Chevy Malibu for the weekend. Brand new only 3700 miles on it. This is an average car at best. For a V-6, I expected more power. If you want simple and American this is it. ... read more
