2007 Ford Edge SEL Plus

by carnut2k4 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500
May 04 '07

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Technology and build quality is light years above what you'd expect from Ford.
Cons: Known safety issue needs to be addressed.
The Bottom Line: Ford takes on the foreign cute utes and wins!

When considering a new car recently I found myself at a place I never thought I’d wind up - a Ford dealer. Recent years have been less than fortunate for the ailing blue oval and their efforts to get back into the black have resulted in a ...

A truly incredible, luxurious vehicle at a low price point

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very versatile vehicle, incredibly comfortable, stylish
Cons: somewhat unusual shape.
The Bottom Line: If you want a larger vehicle with high seating capacity but the comfort of a car, this is definitely the best choice on the market.

I have driven more vehicles in my life through my work, pleasure, and in my own personal ownership than I really care to think about. I have pushed so many cars to the limit and others I have watched go up in flames after a hard accident. Regardless, I ...

Ford has another winner...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth V6, quite ride, comfortable seating, FAST, and stylish.
Cons: Fit and finish
The Bottom Line: A very solid vehicle with a promising future if Ford takes care of quality control in Fit and Finish.

We traded in our gas guzzling F150 for the Edge, and what a difference it made in our gasoline budget. The Edge is rated at 24MPG highway, which it does deliver and more if you do not have a lead foot. Just recently, we drove to Canada from Maryland and ...

by tylert77
Jan 20 '08

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fast, Good gas mileage, sharp, sporty
Cons: The seats hurt my back
The Bottom Line: If you don't have any back problems this is a great car that is a lot of fun to drive.

I bought the Ford Edge because my previous Ford Expedition had reached over 150,000 miles on it. I chose the Edge because its good gas mileage for a SUV and its sharp sporty looks. First and foremost this is one of the most fun automobiles I have ...

Fun crossover

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Easy to drive, comfortable, lots of rear storage space.
Cons: Heater for feet and hands could have been placed better.
The Bottom Line: Good crossover without the big SUV feeling.

I had a BMW 325 Ci before this crossover. The Edge is fun, sporty and easy to drive. The moon-roof is worth the extra as well as the sync system upgrade. I live in the mountains and the AWD has been awesome on really snowy days. The reverse warning is ...

Great alternative to and SUV or Mini Van

Jul 09 '07

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great Ride and roomy
Cons: Back Hatch is a little hard to open
The Bottom Line: Great Car for the family!

First off let me start by saying I don't know all the particulars and the specs of this vehicle. If you want that go to Ford.com. What I can say is this, I have a wife and two kids, and the wife wanted nothing to do with a mini van (she thinks she is ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Versatile, eye-catching, great handling, safe
Cons: Not that great on gas, no third row seating
The Bottom Line: Beautiful, safe and handles like a dream. Ideal for any age group!

This is a fantastic vehicle! I own a 2007 Ford Edge Sel plus (all wheel drive). It is not only an eye catcher, but this car handles like a dream. Going around curves is almost effortless. I never worry when I am driving in bad weather either! Fantastic ...

I'm on the Edge and loving it
by baza70

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: looks, size, power, BAMR (big *ss moon roof)
Cons: fuel mileage, no bluetooth, no WMA playback
Got a new Edge a couple of weeks ago. Got it fairly well loaded, but without the leather and dvd navigation. After 2 weeks, here are my impressions:

- I love the size (not too big, not too small)
- I love the power (this thing really moves)
- great transmission with smooth up-and-down shifts
- the Vista Roof is AWESOME!! That thing rocks man!
- like all the controls on the steering wheel
- the stereo is pretty good, but lacks the ability to play WMA files (it will play MP3's only)
- the back seats recline (great for road trips when you want the kids to go to sleep)
- it just looks great (better than a Murano)
- the heated cloth seats a very comfortable, even on long road trips (I've done one already)
- the AWD system is very good

If this thing got better gas mileage and had bluetooth, it would have it all! :-)

Highly recommended!
