Oct 31, 2008 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handles like a car, rear space with cargo shelf
Cons: Lacking some extras I would expect from a top trim  level Honda
The Bottom Line: I am very happy with the Honda CR-V as our family car.

In 2007 when I was expecting my second child, my husband and I decided it was time to purchase a larger, newer car.  We needed to accommodate two children and all the gear that comes along with them. A mini-van was out of the question. I also was ... read more

Pros: Lots of space for baby/pet gear;
Cons: No manual transmission available anymore; wish gas mileage were better
The Bottom Line: Fantastic car for busy new parents/pet owners with lots of "stuff."

I bought my CR-V (EX model) when I was 7 months pregnant with my son. Up until then, I had been driving an Acura RSX Type-S coupe, and I really wasn't looking forward to wrangling an infant in and out of a car seat in the back of that sporty little job. ... read more

The Honda CR-V handles very well in all types of driving conditions. Living in Minnesota, I needed to have a car that could handle well in the winter. The CR-V has not let me down yet. I have had minimal sliding compared to other cars I have driven. ... read more

Jan 15, 2008 (A Somewhat Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good fuel mileage, aesthetically pleasing, nicely appointed, well laid out, plenty of cup holders, comfortable.
Cons: Not enough storage, stiff ride, too much tire noise and, it's not my Durango...
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle for families who need to transport "stuff" as well as people. It is roomy, comfortable, and affordable to own and drive.

My 2007 Honda CRV was purchased to replace my 2005 Dodge Durango. I mention this as, with all things being relative, my evaluation of my new Honda is likely swayed, relative to my love of my 2005 Dodge Durango. That being said, I have been fairly ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great size, dependability, gas mileage
Cons: Uncomfortable head rest position!!!
The Bottom Line: Examine your needs carefully. If you're going to be taking lots of long trips, this may not be the car for you! All in all, Hondas are great though.

I was driving a 2 door Honda Civic coupe when I found out I was pregnant and knew I was going to have to trade in my little car for something easier to get a car seat in and out of. I was obviously thrilled I was expecting, however I was going to miss my ... read more

The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend the CRV EXL for the comfortable ride, attractive styling, safety features, reliability, resale value and handling.

I have never owned a Honda before. My brother swears by the Honda Accord, but as a true native Detroiter, I tend to gravitate to American automobile makers. I guess in today's market, there really is no such thing as "American Made." The Detroit cars ... read more
