Pros: Engine, 4-doors, quality.. Cons: Fuel economy not the best, sedan not nearly as good looking as the coupe. The Bottom Line: It's fast, fun to drive, and offer Honda's solid reputation for reliability and quality.
The previous generation Civic Si wasn't exactly Honda's best example of a sport compact: it looked about as sporty as a golf cart, offered unimpressive performance, and had a MSRP that was thousands more than its competition. In 2006 Honda gave its Si a ...

Pros: Exterior styling, engine, shifter, steering, handling, seats Cons: Instrument panel, upholstery, MazdaSpeed3 not much more money The Bottom Line: An excellent sport compact--if you can stomach the gee-whiz IP. But be sure to also check out the MazdaSpeed3.
Though I cart three kids around on a daily basis, I drive a Mazda Protege5. Why? Because I love the feel of an agile, compact car. For the same reason, I've been looking forward to driving the Civic Si for nearly two years. The Civic has always been ...

Pros: Fuel efficient, comfortable, pretty fast, safe, good resale values, good enginnering Cons: Poor backward visibility, price too high, strange dashboard layout, windshield slope The Bottom Line: I like the Honda Civic overall, but only recommend it if you can adjust to its super-sloped windshield and the dash size and layout.
After my girlfriend's 2006 Honda Accord VP was totaled in an accident, there was a choice to make between the usual suspects: 2007 Camry, 2007 Honda Accord VP, Hyundai Sonata and others. On interesting option that I ...

Pros: Engine, sportiness, price, accessories Cons: design may not appeal to everyone, not in favor of tall people The Bottom Line: Take a look if a safe fun and sporty sedan strikes your interest
Well, I must first start off by saying that I am a complete and devoted vw lover. I have gone through 2 beetles that were totalled (not my fault) and one jetta, they are extremely safe and reliable vehicles. Now onto the vehicle that I am reviewing. I ...

Pros: Lots included in the standard features, beautiful exterior design, high revving engine Cons: Cheap plastic interior The Bottom Line: Pocket rocket evolved.
All-Rounder I have taken up a new job that requires me to drive 60 miles round trip in Chicago and burb's traffic-infested motorways. Take into account the nasty winters we have, and I'm not so sure my highly modified 2000 Nissan Sentra SE would ...

Pros: Looks like a regular Civic sedan, not a spaceship; engine 'Auto Stop'; 50mpg Cons: CVT odd at first; Snug fit for four; Uncertain longevity/recycling ease The Bottom Line: Stylish, Efficient, Comfortable, and 50 mpg
Purchased: August 2006 Mileage at review: 10,400 Why? Taxing 3 kids to school in stop-n-go traffic was inefficient for our van. We were getting 18mpg at best with the lightest 'granny driving' we could do. Four people fill a Civic pretty quick, but ...

Pros: Fast and fun! Very sporty design. Fantastic handling. Navi is a must! Cons: Stiff ride, but that is expected. Premium gas required. Leather seats not offered. The Bottom Line: Perfect for dads (or moms) that want both function and fun without spending a lot of money. I love it and you will too!
I got sick and tired of the gas-guzzling 2004 4Runner and needed a change. I wanted something fast, something fun, something practical, and something that won't hurt my wallet at the gas station and at the dealership. The 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan with ...

Pros: Relatively economical, safe, well designed and engineered. Fun to drive! Cons: None that are obvious. The Automated Maintenance Reminder system will need to earn my trust! The Bottom Line: A GREAT sedan with structural integrity, well designed and fitted appointments, reasonable fuel economy and an unbeatable repair record.
My wife and I recently purchased our 5th Honda. (Three Accords and two Civics.) This one is the 4-door Civic LX Sedan to replace her 12 model-year 1995 Civic DX Coupe. This car has a 5-speed fully automatic transmission that shifts smoothly and quietly ...

Pros: Great gas mileage. Comfortable ride. Nice navigation system. Cons: A little pricey. Some rattles and squeaks. The Bottom Line: If you need high gas mileage in a comfortable car, I think it's worth the investment. If you drive aggressively (and won't change), this car isn't for you.
Like many other people, I bought a Honda Civic Hybrid to improve/ reduce my gas consumption during my rather long commute. I purchased the vehicle in early December and have about 2500 miles on it. It has the Navigation system, which is quite useful. ...

What's not to like?
I recently purchased a 2007 Honda Civic Si as my daily driver. This car is really quite fun to drive. The involvement with the driver is quite different from my previous car. The engine is the almost sewing machine like in the way it ...

Pros: Fuel economy, fun-to-drive factor, Honda reliability and stereo. Cons: That I didn't buy this car sooner! The Bottom Line: If you're looking at small cars, don't buy without looking at the Civic!
I bought my first new Honda about a month ago and so far, I absolutely love it. I previously owned a Prelude and liked that car so much, I decided to check out the new Civic. I've read some of the complaints and for me, the only one I have is that I ...

Pros: Safety, design, handling, fuel economy, price, turning-circle, Honda quality, good performance for a hybrid Cons: Not the best instrument panel, still not the most efficient in the world The Bottom Line: This extraordinary car offers luxury, design, hybrid performance, efficiency, reliability, comfort, price and lots more at a price, and it is a very good choice if you want economy!
I have rented a Honda Civic Hybrid in April 2007, for a week and I really agree with Honda that this car not only delivers a super-efficient 1.3L SOHC 8-valve inline-4, but also delivers promised performance, for example, it has a 93-horsepower ...

Pros: Practicality, Price, Reliability, Extraordinary trim, Smooth shifting 5-sp, 5-sp Auto. Cons: Soft Suspension, only 140Hp. The Bottom Line: Fun and practical, Honda reliability and very affordable; what more can we ask for?
Civic pretty much put Honda on the map when it first came out in the 1970's and has continued to dominate the efficient small car market especially in the US. I walked into the Honda dealership right after I test drove the Scion TC, look at my review ...

Pros: Outstanding engine, smooth transmission, stellar handling, superb seating all around, everyday practicality, simplicity in purchase Cons: Transmission needs more attention than a 2 year old, problematic front sight lines
The Bottom Line: The ultimate compromise between necessity and performance.
Honda's penchant for building cheap, fun-to-drive sporty cars has long been a company tradition. This culminated in the 1999 Civic Si - a sporty car with a great engine, subtle styling additions, and every amenity available for a Civic at the time. ...

It has been quite awhile since I have written a review on Epinions. The reason for that is I don't write on anything I don't buy or know very much about. I have been extremely happy with my purchases with my golf clubs and cars... but it was about time ...
