Pros: Low price, roomy interior, innovative audio system Cons: Styling, interior materials, wheezy engine, sloppy steering The Bottom Line: The only reason I give the Compass two stars is the low price.
For decades, Jeep has enjoyed an iconic status as one of only two brands in the world entirely dedicated to producing serious off-road vehicles. Other brands SUVs are often engineered primary for on-road use; Jeeps image has been heavily based ...

Pros: A smooth ride that's geared low to go. Cons: The early mechanical / electrical failures cause me to worry a bit.... The Bottom Line: Assuming the mechanical/electrical problem with the key is solved it's a good ride for a small family.
When I went shopping for a new Jeep last year I wanted something with a Jeep look and feel but that also had a "city SUV" theme. The Liberty and Compass were the best matches: they weren't as big as a school bus (like the Commander!) but they were ...

Pros: Good gas mileage. Easy to park. Inexpensive insurance. Good cargo space. Cons: Not an offroad vehicle. Buyer should consider if they really need an SUV. The Bottom Line: This vehicle is excellent for suburban and highway use, and it's fun to own. It's not a macho mudmobile; don't expect to use it like one.
I absolutely love this car. I just bought mine (in the 4x2 Sport package, with most of the dealer options preinstalled except for the navigation system and EVIC). My last couple of cars were an '02 Ford Focus and a '98 Escort. I also own a '65 ...

Pros: Fuel efficiency, utility of vehicle in various uses, cruising comfort and simply fun to drive. Cons: I wish the outside rearview mirrors had 6-10 more square inches. The Bottom Line: I certainly would recommend this vehicle to any one interested in a SUV or family vehicle.
Drivin' about 180 miles a day for a commute requires a comfortable and economic vehicle. The Compass delivers on both counts. A decades -long Jeep driver, mainly Wranglers, I've been hoping Jeep would expand its inventory to include a fuel ...

Pros: Good Gas Milage for a CRV, smooth ride. Cons: Slow acceleration. The Bottom Line: This is a good choice if you need the versatility of a CRV, without paying an arm and a leg for it.
I have had my Jeep Compass for about 6 months. I wanted to give it a fair chance before writing a review. I have the 2.4L engine with 4 wheel drive on demand. I got the Compass because I have two German Shepherds and they didn't fit in my fusion. So I ...

Pros: sporty looks, handles well, good gas mileage, good price, holding capacity, features Cons: not have a lot of pulling out power The Bottom Line: I love this vehicle and would recommend it to anyone because it has stylish looks, and lots of great extras, and it drives like a breeze!
I bought my 2007 Jeep compass in March '07. I wanted a vehicle that had more room and looked like a SUV. As soon as I drove the compass, I loved it. It has the cargo capacity of the small suvs, but it drives just like a car. There is no swaying motion ...

Pros: Good gas milage and 4WD. Cons: Unreliable, with no help from dealer or manufacturer despite warranty. The Bottom Line: The Compass would be a good buy if it were not prone to mechanical failures, and if Chrysler would stand behind its product.
The Jeep Compass seemed a good buy at the time. It is economical on gas, and has 4WD. However it has not proved to be reliable. The clutch of failed after about 11 months use and less than 13 000 miles. What is worse than this failure has been the ...

Pros: Traction control, AWD, and all the other safety features are a plus! Cons: Everything else about the car! The Bottom Line: Do not buy! It starts out great and goes down hill soon after.
Before I bough my 2007 Jeep Compass in September '06 I owned a Jeep liberty for almost 2 years. I loved my liberty, so I wanted to try another Jeep. Well besides having to take it in it seems like almost every two months for something or another gone ...

Pros: Good looking car
Excited to own first Jeep product
Cons: Horrible Customer Service (5-Star?!?)
Falls apart in less than 500 miles
The Bottom Line: Stay away from the 2007 Jeep Compass and Galeana Chrysler Jeep Dealership (Ft. Myers, FL)
2007 Jeep Compass Falls Apart! Do Not Buy!! Do Not Buy A Vehicle From Galeana Chrysler Jeep (Ft. Myers, FL) I recently purchased a brand new 2007 Jeep Compass from Galeana Chrysler Jeep (14375 S Tamiami Trl, Fort Myers, FL 33912 PH: (239) 481-2600) ...

After reading all these reviews on various pages, I am surprised at all the problems compass owners are having. I have owned 2 2007 compasses both sport 4x4 models with cvt2 (which I am not crazy about but no problems with it as others describe on ...

It does go in the snow

Pros: Nice Looking, comfortable. Cons: window, door locks.
My previous review was not good based on the fact we couldn't find snow tires to fit it. That was an error. We now have snow tires and it does go in the snow much better than with the standard tires that came on the Jeep when we bought it. I love this vehicle inside and out and any bad review I gave it earlier I take back. I recommend this car to any one who wants a fun to drive vehicle with lots of room for groceries etc.I love the fact the spare tire is so easy to get to. I really like the rear compartment flashlight/dome light. It's not a good car for a family of more than 4 because of it's passenger capacity. I also miss passenger side window and door lock controls for all four doors. Not a big deal considering the rest of the vehicle is very good.

Pros: Looks Good, Good mileage, Fun to drive, handles great, I miss it dearly. Cons: Chrysler Parts Availability.(Waiting 10 days for module)
I've owned it for about 3 weeks and it has spent 15 days in the shop.(at a dealership) POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE is what I am waiting on. The Chrysler dealership initially changed the battery and sent me on my way to 4 impressive starts until it failed to start and took the long shameful trip behind the towtruck once again. (only to the delight of my snoopy neighbours who all own Ford and GM products)
It's not necessarily the vehicles fault so much as the service. They stuck me in a Chevy Cobalt courtesy car!!!
I've shopped for a long time for a NEW vehicle and so far it has spent 66% of it's life getting rained on in a compound at the dealership.
I am on a first name basis with all of the service center people.
