Not my first choice, but a decent car

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: No

Pros: Good gas mileage, comfortable interior
Cons: Trunk opening, prone to steering and gearshift problems, cheaply made
The Bottom Line: A decent car, but not one for the long-haul.

This has been a pretty decent car for me over the last two years, though I wouldn't call it my first choice.  The interior is comfortable and the car has good responsiveness.  It is fuel-efficient and has saved me a good deal of money on ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Runs well, spacious, sporty look, trunk space, XM radio build-in and Mp3 hookup
Cons: None at this time
The Bottom Line: Get a G5 for a graduation, a new job or if you're just looking for a sporty, fun and most importantly - reliable - ride.

For 5 years of college I drove a 98 Chevy Blazer. Now don't get me wrong - I loved my Blazer. But after a period of time (actually, just 120,000 miles) everything seemed to start going wrong - body work falling apart, brakes and calipers slipping and ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Trunk is great, good low end torque, and style.
Cons: Emergency brake location, rear visibility.
The Bottom Line: Early in the experience, but we would definitely do it again. Power, fit, finish, and looks better than expected.

Son just turned 16. We thought he deserved a car, and it sure makes it easier for him to get around. No more mommy or daddy taxi. Something used, or new and inexpensive? Never having good experience with used, I looked for a small coupe for him (his ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: NO LEATHER! Good gas mileage, audio input for mp3 player, EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!
Cons: Not as cheap of a car payment as my bonneville.
The Bottom Line: This car gives a QUIET RIDE with no road noise, great gas mileage, and is comfortable and fun to be in!

A few days ago, my husband and I decided that our 2003 Bonneville was costing us too much money in gas expenses, that the low payment we had on the car wasn't really justified, because we were spending over 600 dollars a month on the vehicle. So we ... read more

G should I buy a Pontiac 5 in 2007 or a Honda Civic?

Apr 16, 2007 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: inexpensive; good crash ratings; handled alright
Cons: very tight back; it's not a Honda
The Bottom Line: I'm recommending this for the person with a budget who likes a sporty looking decent to handle Pontiac.

My mom and I rented a 2007 Pontiac G5 while her car was in the shop. This Pontiac had about 2100 miles on it. It had a 2.2 liter engine with 4 cylinders. The G5 is considered a 5 passenger coupe (2 doors) and it has front wheel drive. It’s ... read more

Pros: Seats, automatic headlamps.
Cons: Electronic steering, mundane interior, poor rear views.
The base G5 is not the best car in its class, but it does have a few redeeming values. First the good points. It has decent seats with adjustable lumbar support. It also has automatic headlamps and dashboard lights that turn on when dusk happens or
