Pros: Looks, great gas mileage, flexible storage / hauling capabilities. Cons: None The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a well built, small car with versatile cargo hauling configurations and good gas mileage, look no further.
I've owned and own a number of GM cars. I was looking at Toyotas and Hondas when I discovered that the Vibe is a Toyota-made GM vehicle. With GM's great 5/100k warranty and rebates, this car offers some serious advantages over the Matrix, its Toyota ...

Pros: Peppy, stylish, It's a Toyota. Cons: None...Well, ABS is optional.
My favorite car is the 2007 Pontiac Vibe. I like the Vibe because of its styling and its very peppy and the acceleration is good. I like the upscale looking gages and the red-orange Pontiac lighting on the stereo. The Vibe also has a power outlet that has 115 volts for laptops, etc.
The back seat folds down flat, also included are tie down hooks and a jack and a spare tire cover. Safety features such as ABS are optional. I wish power windows, locks, sunroof and 7-speaker Monsoon audio system were standard. The car is practical, that's what I like about it.
The Pontiac Vibe is actually a rebadged Toyota Matrix. It is made in a Toyota/GM joint-venture plant in Fremont, California. They also make the Toyota Corolla. The Vibe has Toyota engines and transmissions, same engine in the Corolla. The Vibe mostly has Toyota parts, including the wiper blades, oil filter, and most of the interior components. If you buy parts from a Toyota dealer, they are probably cheap. If you need an inexpensive compact wagon, just try the Pontiac Vibe and the Toyota Matrix.

Pros: cargo space.comfort.economy.Toyota reliability Cons: serious blind spots
I'd been driving the same worn out car for the last twenty years, then I saw a Vibe. It's a great road car, ten hours behind the wheel and I still felt like going shopping. I can carry everything from 2x4's to the bathroom toilet with no problem. It was the Toyota connection that sold me. Now my daughter is buying one. Even my cats appreciate the smooth ride and large cargo area.

Pros: Very reliable. Comfortable seating that sits higher than most small cars. Cons: GT's 6-speed manual transmission = lots of shifting. Owner's manual says premium gas is required.
I bought a used Pontiac Vibe in 2003 that had 8,000 miles on it at the time. It is the GT model which came standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, Toyota Celica engine, and the "moon and tunes" package.
I've put over 65,000 miles on the Vibe since I got it. The only problem I've had was with the CD player - which the dealer replaced under warranty. In all other respects, it's been a reliable car that gets decent gas mileage (31 MPG) during my daily freeway commute.
The seating configuration is really nice for a small car. It comfortably seats four adults and has a split rear seat that lets you haul bulky items when needed.
