Saturn ION 2007: GREAT CAR, LEMON NIGHTMARE, STILL GOOD CAR. (Updated @ 5,000 Miles)

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Ownership and fuel is cost efficient. Excellent pep good interior.
Cons: Fuel cap, Lemon possibilities.
The Bottom Line: We love our Saturn and hope that it stays well although it put us through a trying experience.

It was a cold December 2006 (60 degrees) by Vegas standards. We had sold our Jeep Cherokee that had transmission problems and sold the Kia Sephia that rattled and stopped working a few weeks after making a trek across the California/Nevada desert. We ...

Why Cheap Toyota is No Match for Real Toyota?

Pros: 2K cheaper than Corolla
Cons: Non-intuitive buttons and low mpg
The Bottom Line: I would recommend waiting a bit and saving for Corolla

Saturn Ion 2007. I rented this car to drive from LA to San Francisco during my last trip to California. There was no particular reason for this choice – it was the only compact car available from National Car Rental in LAX. At the same time I would have ...

Saturn Ion Red Line

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Gas economy, fun to drive, sporty, a lot of room to lug items around.
Cons: Tires wear out quick, squeeky instrument panel.
The Bottom Line: If you like the Ion, spend a little more and get the Red Line because its MILES ahead of the regular model.

First off, for those who do not know, the "Red Line" version of the Ion is the "nicer" version. It has leather seats, 5-Speed short throw manual transmission, supercharged engine, 17" wheels with Z rated performance tires, and it's lowered a few inches ...

Pros: Stylish, great stereo, impressive trunk space, four door, drives smoothly.
Cons: Console is in center, no price negotiation,
The Bottom Line: This is a good car for drivers of all ages. It comes with a great warranty and it's a beautiful car!

I purchased my first Saturn yesterday. The vehicle I purchased is a 2007 Saturn Ion 2. It was originally a loaner car for the dealer, so it had about 5,000 miles on it. I do have to say that one negative aspect about Saturn in general is that they do not ...

One of the best cars I have had!

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Affordable, roomy, fuel efficient, sleek, nice handel, and great customer service.
Cons: None yet.
The Bottom Line: This is the perfect commuter car. Excellent for a family of three or a single person that lives on a tight budget.

Back in March of this year, my sixteen year old daughter rammed the rear of a pick up truck. Of course the truck had a high bumper and a trailer hitch attached. This hitch made it's way into the front of the engine compartment, past the radiator, of the ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Price, mileage, styling, ride, trunk space
Cons: When cupholders are used, access to Blower, A/C and temp controls are obscured.
The Bottom Line: If you can find one, grab it.

After crashing my 2000 Toyota Tacoma into a power pole, it was time for a new car. I had not bought an American car since 1979 - a Pontiac Sunbird that was total trash. I wrote a letter to GM stating I would never buy an American car again - and I ...

Very nice car
by dcsoimpossible

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Fuel efficient, spacious trunk, comfortable seating
Cons: Fabric inside stains easily, paint allows for easy chipping
I've now had this car for almost 2 years and have to say it's one of the better cars that I've owned. So far there has been no reason for me to take it in to the shop. Past Saturns that I've owned had a tendency to leak oil, but so far so good with this one. Seats are comfortable for a non-luxury cope unless taking a rather lengthy road trip, but I imagine any large time span in a car usually isn't very comfortable. The car has an exceptional safety rating and is very fuel efficient, which is becoming a necessity these days. The trunk is very spacious which allows for plenty of storage, and rear seats fold forward as well to allow for even more storage. In the two years I've owned this car, there is minimal paint chipping and the fabric in the interior allow for stains to settle rather easily. Overall this is definitely a car I would recommend for family and friends.
