Pros: Gas mileage, Price, cute, decent acceleration. Cons: Noisy, interior space/quality. The Bottom Line: A decent car for point A-B Transport
After a single generation Toyota has discontinued the ECHO nameplate, and for good reason. While the ECHO got great gas mileage, owners had to make too many compromises. To name a few, the ECHO was uncomfortable, cramped, it handled horribly, and ...

Pros: Excellent fuel economy, quality interior materials, comfortable ride, Toyota reputation. Cons: Numb, watery controls, iffy straight-line stability, less versatile than related xA and xB. The Bottom Line: Call it an old folks' Scion, or a young person's Camry. Though not exciting, the Yaris plays a solid counterpoint to Toyota's zestier, more extroverted subcompact offerings.
Background Yarisa combination of the German affirmative Ja and Charis, a Greek goddess of beautyisnt a name that many American motorists will recognize. Or, in all likelihood, pronounce correctly. But as ...

Pros: Economy, large improvement over the Echo, not boring to look it Cons: Loud engine, no tach, boring to drive The Bottom Line: Much better than the Echo, but still nothing to get excited about.
Back in 1999 when Epinions was young and standards were still evolving, I reviewed
the Toyota Echo. My one-star rating of the tiny car enraged Toyota loyalists, but my review accurately ...

Pros: Inexpensive, economical transportation Cons: It is as basic as a car can get The Bottom Line: Good things come in little packages. Toyota packs enough into the Yaris to make it a good value.
When it became obvious that our 11 year old Ford Taurus was living on borrowed time, a new-to-us car became a necessity. After lots of research, test driving and haggling we purchased a new 2007 Toyota Yaris. The Nitty Gritty Details ...

Pros: great mileage, tall seats, ergonomic, reliable, smooth suspension, best buy for the money. Cons: moans under acceleration, no lumbar support, thick pillars obstruct visibility. The Bottom Line: There is no other car that offers this level of quality, reliability and mileage in this price range. Sufficient power and relatively smooth ride for a small car.
When I shopped around for a car, there was really nothing to compete with the Yaris. I was looking for best mileage, reliability and price. Prius would have cost double and taken 10+ yrs to pay back in gas savings. I drove a Honda Fit and was ...

Pros: Gas mileage, near cavernous interior, somewhat cute, small/easy to park/maneuver Cons: power and noise of engine, small/risky if you get in an accident The Bottom Line: The Yaris is a great car for someone who just wants to go from A to B. It is reliable, spacious, and affordable.
The Toyota Yaris is the most affordable Toyota around, but it really doesn't feel entry level. Overall, the car's engine is surprisingly sufficient. On paper, numbers such as 106 hp at a high 6000 rpm and 103 lbs-ft torque at 4200 rpm would lead you to ...

Pros: excellent gas mileage, low cost, charismatic styling on the sedan model Cons: interior needs a lot of refining The Bottom Line: The 2007 Toyota Yaris sedan is a spark of genius that just needs a dose of common sense.
INTRODUCTION AND INTERIOR I test drove the base Toyota Yaris sedan with a manual transmission. For my 6 foot frame, the interior was workable, with adequate headroom and the pedals at a reasonable distance (with the seat all the way back). However, ...

Pros: Great gas millage, great bang for your buck, awsome car Cons: armrest does not really extend far enough The Bottom Line: This is a car for almost everyone, great gas, good winter driving you cant go wrong with a toyota Yaris
Let me start off saying that I cannot compare this review to other cars in the category that the Yaris is in. But what I can say is that this car is the best car ive ever driven. Look's Who could not like the sleek and distinct design of the Yaris. ...

Pros: Large interior, great gas mileage, comfortable ride, reasonable price range, stylish design Cons: Instrument panel takes time to adjust to, average stereo sound, strange placement of cupholders The Bottom Line: Is the 2007 Toyota Yaris a revolutionary model designed to blow away the competition? Not really. But it's comfortable, perky, sporty, great on gas, and very affordable.
I've been reading the reviews of the 2007 Toyota Yaris, and most of them have been positive for a good reason. This car is an amazing buy for the money. I own the Yaris 4-door Sedan (1.5L 4cyl 4A 106 hp). It's comfortable, roomy, solid, stylish and quite ...

Pros: Price, mileage, fun and peppy ride! Cons: Base model is too sparse - options maybe not optional. The Bottom Line: Great for short commutes and about town. The mileage makes this car a real money saver
My wife and I barely use the 2nd car. When we went looking for something to replace our dying station wagon we wanted something small (for city parking), safe, reliable, economical and that didn't need to be taken to the gas station too often. We ...

Reliable
Cons: Slow pickup, no floor mats, hard to find! The Bottom Line: I love this car and think it is a great 2nd car. If you are looking for great price, reliability and gas mileage this car fits the bill.
When our second car died we were looking for a replacement. We have a gas guzzling S.U.V. and I wanted something with better gas mileage. I was looking for a reliable car with a low price tag and great mileage since it was our second car. In early ...

Pros: comfortable, great transmissions, practical, easy on gas Cons: steering The Bottom Line: great for short trips. not good for highway driving. Try 5-speed manual- it's a pleasure.
I tried 2 3-door Yarises today, with standard and automatic transmissions. Seating is very comfortable, tilt wheel is a joke, doesn't matter in this car, it's amplitude is minimal. Seats are very nice, not soft not very firm. I am 6' tall, I had no ...

Pros: Cant think of any at the moment... Nope, nothing Cons: Rusty brakes, e brake cables froze, handles poorly in snow, terrible customer service The Bottom Line: Do not buy a Yaris. Save yourself the headache. It is a cheesy car with bad brakes, poor handling and impracticle interior design.
Well... Where to begin? I purchased my 2007 Yaris in June of 2006. A few days after picking it up, I noticed a faint squeak when braking. Thinking to myself: that cannot have been my car; its brand new, I ignored it and didnt bring it up until my 16,000 ...

Pros: Good commuter vehicle, good dash storage, roomy interior for a sub-compact, great mileage. Cons: limited cargo space, bit under-powered, body design promotes chipped paint on hood. The Bottom Line: For a sub-compact, comfortable, great mileage, and good value for the money. I'll buy another one in the future.
I bought two '07 hatchback models in December of '06; one 5-speed manual and one 4-speed automatic. The wife and I both commute 100 miles round trip, daily, and have racked up 15,000 miles on each vehicle over 7 months. Both vehicles have been ...
