Pros: 41 miles per gallon, cute to look at,stereo system, dependability, holds value, great commuter car, Cons: Instruments located in the middle takes a little to get use to
I bought a 2007 yaris a couple weeks ago.It is a great car!!.Its the basic style, but everything I need.It is small but the back seat is big enough to fit three teenagers, and theres plenty of leg room in the front, even for a tall person. It handles the highway well and even without cruise its pretty easy to maintain speed. It is quiet when going down the highway, and you cant hear outside noise like some say.For the yaris basic it has a great stereo sound system.I had a 6 cylinder jeep and I knew what the gas prices were every day because $20.00 wouldnt last long.I filled it up almost two weeks ago and dont even pay attention to what the price of gas is.Its got a 11 gallon tank I should get at least 430 miles out of it,which would average 41 miles per gallon. One of the nicest things is that Toyotas maintain there value,if you take care of them!!

Pros: Gas mileage, interior room, easy to use controls, effortless steering Cons: A little unhappy in gusty conditions, loud motor, only gets 40mpg :)
A very nice car for those looking to spend a little to get a lot. My wife bought the 4d sedan (non sport) and some upgrades which give her the power windows/locks lcd odo with tach, abs, and an mp3 player. It's looks usually warrant questions from various drivers that never knew this car existed. It's a fun little car to drive and like previously mentioned gets great mpg. My wife averages 38-41 mpg with mixed city/hwy (and she doesn't drive slow).. Quite a bit of room on the inside and quite comfortable to drive long distances. The engine is a little noise when you are trying to merge on the hwy, but it does the job. We were going to go with the Honda fit, but after the honda dealer kept jerking us around we decided to go with the yars. It was cheaper and gets better mpg! I would definately recommend this car if you are looking for a nice, cheap yet roomy car that gets awesome mileage.

Pros: 40 miles/gallon, low maintenance, nice looking, great handling, safe, good leg-room, Cons: Noisy, a little bumpy, not much space in the trunk.
I just moved here from Norway, where I had the same car.
Over there Toyota is known for having the most fuel-efficient and low-maintenance cars, and I can vouch for that.
It is a smooth ride for such a small vehicle, though a little noisier than the bigger cars out there.
The standard package doesn't include electrical windows, electrical side mirrors or sentral locking, but it is available for those who want it.
One feature I liked was the aux-plug that I just plug my mp3-player into, and can enjoy hours and hours of music through the cars pretty good speakers.
All in all, it's all you can want in a small car.

Pros: Toyota Dependability,
Great fuel economy,
Cons: None
My wife and I bought our Yaris in July, Since then we've put almost seven thousand miles on it. No problems whatsoever it's great on long trips we are getting between 38 and 40 Mpg and in the city we average between 33 and 36 It's an awesome car Not one complaint. Some say it's not fast enough, or it's not fancy enough, you know what for 12 Grand and forty miles to the gallon who can complain. I promise you'll be pickin' up chicks in no time Lol Just kidding. IT's great!

Pros: Build quality, excellent mileage, economical transportation. Not a problem! Cons: After 11 months, 11,000 miles, of being an owner, I have none.
This car has been perfect for me. My 90 day average has been 49mpg, with very little highway. Yes, I am a hypermiler. I recommend a scanguage for mileage.
The first time I saw this hatchback/liftback, I knew it was the car for me. The price I paid in Sept, 2007 was 12,200. ( includes delivery and handling fee of 620., not taxes and tags). I got the convenience package, all-weather guard package, preferred accessory package. I purchased it at Peruzzi Toyota, Hatfield Pa. I was very happy with the dealer.
I use my Yaris mostly for getting to and from work, a 37 mile round trip. I find the car to be comfortable for me, 6'1". I like the gauges being in the center, not in front of me.

Toyota Yaris is a lemon

Pros: I can't think of any Cons: Everything
Ok, so things were great until I hit 8,000 miles-well not great, but ok. Seat stinks, rock hard, barely adjustable, cup holders are placed directly in front of heating vents??But, one of my compartments suddenly popped open and wouldnt close-after 2hrs waiting, I was told I need a new dashboard-however, they will not pick up my car while I am at work so it can be fixed. Rude service department. Now, My MP3 compartment won't close-and I have never ever used it-it just hangs open..I contacted Toyota several times requesting to speak to someone about this-no results. Story is much longer, but in a nutshell, DON'T BUY ONE. It's a rip off..and the toyota cares term is a joke-they only care to get the payment every month. I have just contacted better business bureau, and I am telling anyone who will listen...please don't waste your money like I did...Oh, and gas isn't what they say-I average about 37mpg, not 40 or 41

Yay for Yaris

Pros: It is one of the most fuel efficient cars that is not a hybrid. Cons: none!!!
I have had my Yaris 4door sedan for a little over a year (June 2006) and I absolutely love it. It is one of the best selling cars in the country right now, mainly because it is so fuel efficient. It is a very small car that has managed to be extremely roomy on the inside. I did read a couple of bad reviews naming rust and squeaking, well, that could be because of the climate it is in. I live in Texas, and here, it works wonderfully!!!

Pros: Crazy gas efficiency, easy to park, good value for the money. Cons: Base model lacks a lot of amenities (i.e. power windows, power locks)
The car is sooo gas efficient and way nicer looking than the echo. I got the base model but it still came with cd/mp3 player and an input jack. I love the way it looks and am planning to get a body kit for it. I already bought 17 inch rims for it.

More Cons than Pros

Pros: good gas mileage and nice ride Cons: very uncomfortable front seat and overall poor design
Am renting a Yaris for the weekend. After a 3 hour drive, my back is killing me and that's with using a small pillow for lower back support. Seat design could use improvement. Dislike the speedometer way up high in the center so everyone in the car can keep up with my speed. The cup holder on left corner is also a poor design feature. Dislike the entire interior design; have driven a Kia Rio and that is much more to my liking. Don't really care much for the exterior design either; (I am a big fan of Toyotas in general).

Perfect

Pros: Fuel economy, QUALITY, reliability Cons: The interior plastic does scratch fairly easily, but it IS a economy car.
Look, this is a BASIC automobile no doubt. But in todays world with high fuel prices you cannot beat a 5 speed manual hatch back Yaris. The EPA estimated fuel economy of 32 is crap. Look at Fueleconomy.gov. The most I have ever gotten is 53 mpg highway. Average over two years is 45 mpg. The car is cheap (cost wise) but has features that Chevy and Ford would charge $30,000 for. Great stability even in snow, contrary to what most say (I live in Michigan, so I know a thing or two about snow). Acceleration is not sporty, but after all it is an economy sub-compact, what do you expect? For the price you cannot beat the quality you get or the features.

The three-door is crummy

Pros: Depends on your standards. Low price. Cons: Cheap finish. Minimal safety features.
You can spell it crummy or crumby. The When you put down the rear seats, there is a trough in the rear compartment. The finish looks cheap. No quality here.
I did not buy this car because it came across as too cheap in construction.
Before you buy a car you should look at the consumer reports videos where they show you how the car behaves under impact in an accident. The Yaris is lacking some features you might want to have for your safety.
For $2-3,000 more, you can get better quality.
