Pros: Attractive, good gas mileage, lots of airbags, handles well. Cons: Seatbelt hurts, console is miniscule, stiff ride, hard seats. The Bottom Line: So glad I bought a VW.
There was nothing wrong with my 1999 Chrysler 300M but it was aging. In January I started a new job working in an area of Detroit in which I was unfamiliar and very uncomfortable. It was downright skeery and not knowing the city well I was worried that ...

Pros: Great handling and suspension, the engine sings a nice song, the interior feels nice. Cons: Too heavy, too dark, and too expensive. The Bottom Line: If you're willing to pay a steep premium for an average car, this is the one.
Lo and behold, yet another rental experience was upon me about two weeks ago. Due to some rookie type driving issues, I managed to mangle the passenger side rear quarter panel on my own vehicle and had to bring it in for a big of body work. The gods must ...

Pros: Style, the drive alone. The ample features. Stock rocks. Cons: Can be pricey with options, but hey, they are options, and I don't have any!!! The Bottom Line: Take it for a drive and you'll see why I bought this over the Scion Tc and Honda Civic. Quality and performance, looks and reputation.
I love my JETTA!!! I have the 2.5 inline 5 cylinder with 150hp/170tq. I have the auto with tiptronic. And did I mention sport mode which is definitely cool for passing cars or for just being quick about town. The interior finish is great, and the ...

I purchased a Salsa Red 2007 Jetta Value Edition (now referred to as just 'Jetta' or 'Jetta base') in October of 2006. My first 5K service was today, and i wanted to share my experience so far with this fantastic vehicle. I originally went browsing ...

Pros: Size, weight, and ease of use. Cons: Recharging could be easier and more flexible The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this MP3 player for the numerous great aspects it has.
The Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 player was the perfect Christmas present for my 8-year old twin boys. They have recently become very interested in contemporary Christian and pop music and asked for an MP3 player for Christmas. When I found this one on ...

I have to say I love this car. I have been a VW owner for years and I love the cars! I still have my 1998 Jetta VR6. It has over 124,000 miles on it. Loving my 98 jetta sooo much, I had to check out the 07 and see if I would fall in love again. The ...

Pros: Great Gas Mileage Cons: Space
I love this car! Great gas mileage. I feel so safe in driving my family around, the only thing that I have a complaint about is the back seat isn't large enough to quite fit a carseat sitting backwards for two fair sized adults in the front. My husband and I had to squeeze the carseat in and sit closer to the dash to make sure that the car seat was safe.

Fantastic engine and DSG gearbox offer STREET CRED

Pros: Engine, engine, engine, gearbox Build quality and all materials used are high end Cons: None, for the price.
VW GLI an AMAZING machine. Drive it, it's really that simple. Style is subjective, but the performance is not, the GTI won Automobile Magazine car of the year for 2007 and the GLI takes it to another level.
UPDATE *September 2007 18K miles later*
Still feeling that loving feeling here ladies and gents.
GLI continues to perform and to date, only a software update for any sort of recalls. I have noticed a few quirks at times meaning, a service light came on and left by itself. We have snow on it's way here in a couple of months, I'll be fitting the ride with good snow tires and report my findings in cold weather handling, performance and reliability.
*end*
If you really enjoy driving, this engine will bring a grin to your face everyday. What I was left with after my first drive, was how solid the car felt, 28MPG...if I'm easy on the pedal, I can hit 32MPG. Overall, with a heavy foot you will see 25MPG, still outstanding when you factor that this car has 200HP.
VWGLI has street cred and can still pull off being a mature ride.

Nice mini MP3 player

Pros: Tiny player with plenty of volume Cons: Lacks SRS stereo expander
I bought a blue one for me and a pink one for my dear wife. The Sansa Clip 2 fits within the palm of my hand. The player has more than enough song memory for my needs. Last week I listened to the player for nearly 8 hours straight on a long airplane trip and the player still had plenty of battery power left when I landed. To load the player with MP3 files you can ignore the SanDisk instructions and just follow the Windows Media Player (latest edition) prompts. The unit has sufficient audio power but lacks an SRS stereo expander function that is contained on my even smaller IRiver MP3 player. I do wonder how random the shuffle play pick list is because the shuffle tends to favor a few songs by the same artist in a row. This is a nice player to take with you to the health club.

Not so safe.

Pros: Performance, Look Cons: Safety, mileage on the low side
I purchased this car a month ago. I have one MAJOR item I want to touch upon here. Three weeks into owning this car there was a MALFUNCTION WITH THE AIR-BAG SYSTEM. Basically, there was a faulty switch in the seat-belt buckle that shut down the entire system! But what made this problem worse, the warning light turned off even though the switch was broken.
For a company that prides itself on safety, what more can I say?

All that glitters ain't not good

Pros: Power and sporty looks Cons: Noise at high speeds, bad design.
I drove about 600 miles on this car the 2.5 model, it has too much noise, too much vibration at high speeds. Has no stereo controls on the wheel, the oil meter is too small, so I at a point didn't realize that my gas was empty, until I heard the low fuel noise.
Otherwise, it had good power, acceleration is not bad.
The doors are too stiff, one need to be a body builder to open the doors and the back trunk hood(or you'll have great biceps after constant usage of this car)
For a tall person like me, not enough leg space, even very little room between the brake and the gas pedal, my leg was touching either.Gas mileage was about 29 in the Hwy and 20 in the city.
Looks sporty.
I would recommend a 06/07 Hyundai Sonata as miles ahead from this car.
