Pros: Killer looks esp. black, great suspension, smooth, powerful, awesome handling Cons: Smaller tank -> take breaks every 140 miles anyway, more tickets, may get stolen

On Saturday June 28, 2008, I bought a used 2007 Yamaha FZ1. It had 1265 miles on the odometer. My previous bike was a KLR 650 that I bought used in 2006 and before that I owned a Yamaha XS400. The model year was 1977, I was 18. I lived in Trinidad, last ...

Well, I'm about 650 miles and a week into my purchase of a new 07 FZ1 and I have been pleasantly surprised in every way with this bike so far. It has exceeded my expectations in every way. After putting about 4000 miles on my previous "new" bike ...
Pros: Powerful R1 motor, comfortable riding position, head-turning design, perfect for city & highway riding Cons: Would have been even better with a slipper clutch & under the seat exhaust pipes.
WHY DID I BUY IT? I cut my motorcycle riding teeth in India, where two wheelers are the preferred choice of transportation. Their use varies from the daily commute, to racing and (lately) stunting. The last time I owned and rode a motorcycle was ...
Pros: 2up, hauling stuff on the back, filtering traffic, super cheap price Cons: handlebars could be an inch or so lower and another inch or two more forward.
Nice bike to play around on in the city. Fun to get on it on the highway. Not a sport bike, don't forget that.fun to stunt on, easy to powerwheelie, softer front end and longer body make it a little more diffecult to endo but not much. Great for comfort, highway ripping, moderate stunting and two up riding is a breeze.
28,000 Flawless Miles!!!!!!!! by jester8609 ,May 08 '09
Pros: Very quick and fast, Great handling, Comfortable, Great looks Cons: Plugs tough to change as is the air filter
Absolutely the best bike I've owned to date! Razor sharp handling and blistering performance plus awesome looks. What more could you ask for? I've riding this bike hard for 28,000 miles without a single issue. My local dealer ( Roseville Yamaha ) have been absolutely wonderful to deal with. With the addition of a yoshumira pipe, power commander and graves velocity stacks she runs like a champ. I plan to ride from California to Canada this summer with camping and fisking aboard knowing I can count on Yamahas reliability in mind.
