Pros: Power locks, windows, seats, remote access, front wheel drive, 4 cyl very nice interior. Cons: Wind buffetting with the rear windows open at higher speeds trunk opening The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle and would purchase it again. It is well built and nice looking.
I purchased the Malibu two days before the cash for clunkers program ended. I had a 96 Chevy Blazer with 147,000 miles on it that was still going strong with not a spot of rust on it. Figuring this was my last chance to jump on the clunkers ...

Pros: *Fit & finish *Quietness & structural integrity *Fabulous 6-speed transmission *Advanced 2.4L engine *Safety & convenience features *Interior ambiance Cons: *Smallish trunk *Thickness of the A, B, and C pillars *Armrest hazard during ingress The Bottom Line: With its quality, performance, and economy, the 2009 Malibu 1LT has it over any comparably priced/equipped Ford, Nissan, or Honda. This car is a winner.
There are approximately 1,000 on my new 2009 Malibu, and thus far the driving experience has been impressive. I traded a 2002 Nissan Altima (which gave excellent service for 135,000 miles), but for about the same money as originally paid for the '02 ...

Pros: Styling, power and ride. Cons: Bluetooth system The Bottom Line: Chevy has created a car that is as good as any other in its class.
Shhhh...don't tell anyone. The Malibu is a great car that deserves to be given the same consideration as the Camry and Accord. No...check that...probably more. Why more? Because this is a car that is solid and well-built. ...

Pros: Lots of power.Nice looking dashboard. Nice looking exterior. Cons: Passenger seat in my model not electric. Sides of doors interior could be made nicer.
Just bought a brand new 2009 Malibu. So far I love... it! It is roomy inside both front and back, and I love the heated seats with 2 different settings. I bought the 4 cyl. to save on fuel. But it doesn't lack power like the older 4 cyl cars. It has plenty of get up and go. I have owned a Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Mazda. This car rates as high or higher in my books as any of these other cars that I have owned. (especially the Mazda I will never buy one again!!!) Chevrolet has really improved on what used to be a Mom and Pop car, it is much more sporty and fun to ride in and drive. I bought the new red color with black interior, leather and microfiber seats.
