More Fit for 2009- Or the same ole Jazz?

by shoplmart shoplmart is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Cars & Motorsports, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Visbility, acceleration for this class, gas mileage, Magic rear seats.
Cons: Price higher than others, interior quality, 10.6 gallon fuel tank.
The Bottom Line: If you are on the market for a small, but versatile hatchback that gets great gas mileage, the Honda Fit is definitely worth a look.

When Honda launched the Fit (also known as the Jazz in international markets) as a 2007 model here in the US, it proved to be one of the better small hatchbacks on the market. The Fit provided good performance, better than average build ...

Sportin' Me a New Car (Har Har - "Sportin")

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great safety, standard features, mechanical quality, mileage, 0-45 MPH acceleration, visibility, braking, and handling.
Cons: Cheap interior, generic-sounding speakers, typical 1.5L acceleration for 55 MPH+
The Bottom Line: I spent $18,400 out the door.  Seat Comfort and Roominess deserve a 4.5/5 star rating.  I say that the Honda Fit Sport is the economy class car of the year.

After getting into an accident a few months ago and having the insurance company consider my 2001 Hyundai Accent GLS a "total loss" (even though it was front-end cosmetic and the mechanical operation had been completely unaffected), I was granted an ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fun, Efficient, Very useful, and very well built.  It's a Honda.
Cons: Seat belt chime.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this car to anyone who is in the market for a car that is fun, efficient, useful, and very well built.  Who needs an SUV?

We bought our 2009 Honda Fit to replace an 11 year old Grand Caravan.  We took advantage of the Cash-4-Clunkers program (I'd like to thank The Administration, China, our great grandkids' financial future...) when we realized we'd get several ...

Pros: Surprising roomy inside, quick handling, quirky looks, great mpg
Cons: Expensive compared to peers, Underpowered, Cheap feeling interior
The Bottom Line:

Excellent overall choice... great balance between size/comfort and efficiency

So let me say I've owned Hondas, Acuras, Toyotas, BMWs, Mercedes, and most recently the little Honda Fit.  I've seen a bit at both sides of the spectrum and I'm just past the honeymoon phase with this car so I think I can give it an honest ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: price, gas mileage, fun to drive, "magic seats", fresh colors
Cons: car seat fabric, trunk space
The Bottom Line: Great car for people who want good gas mileage and a fun ride. It's good for small families.

This is a great car with a reasonable price tag.  I have the Honda Fit Sport - automatic. I got this car because I wanted something that would get better gas mileage than my pick-up truck.  I believe that I'm getting about 30 mpg in the city at ...

The 2009 Honda fit is small car yet the inside is very roomy. I was worried that everything would not fit when we went away but boy could I get a lot of stuff in it including a full size highchair, a pack-n-play, a stroller, large bag of ...

Jazz the new stunner from Honda

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Looks, engine performence, interior, space inside the cabin, smooth engine operation
Cons: Its bumpy ride & price is bit heavy on this super mini
Jazz, My uncle had bought a new one & while driving it felt it has got a very peppy engine. cool looking interiors, Space inside the car is very big for its class. The little Jazz follows the current trend of small cars, bulking up in dimensions, interior size and practicality.
Its design is similar that that of a small van with a cargo area at rear, and short nosed front.

safety well well... Safety for the Jazz is excellent. Active safety is very high, with ABS and EBD to measure wheels slippage and alter brake force to each individual wheel. Twin airbags are offered, and various safety measure have been included in the body construction. There are also rear headrests, something sadly lacking in many much larger cars.check this link http://www.euroncap.com/results/honda/jazz/358.aspx

It is impressive.. only time had to tell when I can go for this car exchanging with the current one.

A few drawbacks to consider
by shopasaurus

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Interior space, honda reliability, handling around town, easy to park, tight turn radius
Cons: Cheap paint, stiff and bumpy ride, very underpowered, mileage could be better.
We bought our 2009 Fit sport automatic in January, noting great handling in the snow and great headlights. Gas mileage was good but far below what we expected, getting around 32 on highway only trips. The paint has chipped in the front and the front bumper is scratched. This is an economy car with economy paint. Driving is very underpowered, and it is sometimes difficult to merge into freeway traffic. The ride is rough. Bought this car as a commuter vehicle, but it is more suited to short trips in the city. Interior space and cargo area are great.

I just love this car!

Pros: Gas mileage, comfort, drivablily.
Cons: Interior is a little on the cheap side for a Honda.
I traded in my clunker for the $4,500 and got my Honda Fit for $14,900.  With tax and whatnot, I wrote a check for a little under $11,000.

It is the best car I have every owned, not a close second.  It is comfortable, I love the way the back seat folds down flat, the stock sound system is all that I will ever want or need.  Even the back seats are comfortable.

I love the setup for the driver and how it keep track of gas mileage for you (40.8 miles per gallon).  A really great car.

Pros: The car even comes with a tire repair kit!
Cons: The suspension is a bit stiff, but the seats are comfortable.
Zippy is the nickname for my Fit. It is remarkable, roomy, and can carry more stuff than anyone looking at it can believe because of the magic seats. They fold up and down in many configurations so I can carry all my teaching supplies with ease. The car even comes with a tire repair kit! Parking is such a breeze and the gas mileage is incredible.

Pros: Power, gas mileage, good storage space, fun.
Cons: Very stiff suspension. Wouldn't be the best for long trips.
This small car has good power, gives great gas mileage, and is a blast to drive. The price is a bit high for it's class, but it's worth it.

Love the color, love the car

Pros: Indicator lights, turning radius, zippiness, handling, reliability, versatility of seat positions
Cons: Some blind spots, no mirror on passenger visor
I've had this car for a year and a half now, and there's been NO trouble with anything mechanical, electrical, or otherwise.  I get my oil changed regularly (when I am reminded by the handy-dandy oil life indicator), and I just got my 20,000 mile check-up.  It's such a great little car.  It looks small, but it's really big inside.  I actually fit an entire full-sized refrigerator in there!!  I love how the back seats fold down so you can shove lots and lots of stuff in there.  The front seats are comfy and the back seats are, too.  AND I could get it in my favorite color... orange!
