Pros: Combination of roomy interior and relatively compact exterior, passable in all regards Cons: Front-end styling, not exceptional in any regard The Bottom Line: Thoroughly pleasant in just about every way, but not exceptional in any way.

Pros: Mighty roomy; thoughtfully designed; fuel economy as good as can be expected Cons: A little (intentionally?) raw and unrefined; braking performance needs improvement The Bottom Line: If you'd like a serious blend of comfort and utility but aren't quite willing to go the full-size route, you have to check out the Pilot.

Pros: Manly looks, vast and roomy inside, good ride and handling Cons: Looks may not be for everyone, cheap and busy interior, could use more power The Bottom Line: Honda reliability, chiseled looks and a good driving experience cannot be ruined by a subpar interior.
