Absolutely Worth It

Pros: Day-to-day handling/acceleration.  Comfort.  The feel.
Cons: Lots of little niggles.  The price.
The Bottom Line: The best mid-size car there is in ways that no spec sheet can describe.  It's a Benz through-and-through.
