Pros: good handling, 4wd is EXCELLENT, lots of cargo room, decent gas mileage
Cons: crammed third row seating, tough to get middle seat from second row into compartment
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the 09 Highlander to anyone, especially those with kids. It's pretty roomy but not huge enough to be a gas guzzler. Great vehicle with no problems.

Pros: Quiet, roomy & toyota reliable
Cons: Middle seat in rear is not comfortable.
i've had this car for 2 weeks and so far it's great. i purchased it for my wife and 2 year old son, and all their gear & activities. It's roomy enough for them, myself and all our stuff for the week long vacation we took after picking up the car. The engine is strong and the 6spd automatic is smooth and adds to the power of the vehicle. It's very quiet inside on any road and also a soft ride.
