Pros: true optical TTL viewfinder, perfect ergonomics, high degree of control, great macro mode Cons: sub-optimal sharpness(except in macro mode), unreliable autofocus, poor auto WB, high energy consumption
Note: this camera is no longer in production, but you might be able to buy it second-hand. Read on if you are a macro buff AND/OR a photographer looking for a camera with true SLR functionality, but lack the bucks needed for a pro D-SLR. Size, ...
Pros: Interesting design, turning LCD screen, convenient, great quality Cons: Short battery life
The firms Hewlett-Packard and Pentax have agreed upon joint manufacturing of digital cameras. Taking into account richest experience of Pentax in production of cameras and the usual high opinion about its production is necessary to mark it as a very good...
Pros: Great, Sharp Pictures, Flexible Controls Cons: Poor Battery Life, Some Tricky Features
I’d like to begin this by saying that I bought this camera right after it came out in December of last year, and it has taken Epinions clear up until now to actually include this camera on their site. They used to have a feature where to could...
Pros: full manual as well as automatic modes. Hot shoe allows external flash. TTL view Cons: Slow... no quick sequential or movies. Images tend to be rather "soft".
At $275, this was best deal I've gotten this year. This camera is everything I've wanted in a digital camera, from the TTL viewing to the choice of full manual operation, or three automatic choices. External buttons and selectors allow for quick change...

besides the superior asthetics of this camera, it is the only slr camera within $200. those two things should be enough. you can also set everything to manual, control the exposure time, the f-stop, the focus, film speed, and others, so you can really learn to take pictures. difficult angle pictures are also easier to take with the flip up lcd. time lapse photography, and other goodies (including a remote!). it has great features, and is the best "looking" camera, but you pay for that with the weight.
3/2/2002 DO NOT Try this camera!!! It will spoil you for any of the others short of the E-10 or E-20. It actually has a better macro than Nikon, esp with the remote control. The camera can put a logo of your choosing on the pictures it takes. It senses the orientation and places the logo correctly. Time lapse..Hot Shoe..AA batteries..most controls are via buttons not menus. It captures 8X10 (1600X1280) no cropping needed to print. Prints are gorgeous...look like photos. Cameras with heavy in-camera processing create better computer images if that is what you want. If you want a camera for prints, choices are G2, E-10/20 or the 912.

overall cam is well made except in my case the pop up flash failed to pop up after very little use.. no satisfaction on behalf of HP because I did not purchase extended warranty. They tell me that they do not rpair cam they just exchange for new if on warranty. If no warranty your S.O.L.

Nearly every image that I printed equaled a 35-mm shot print. When I enhanced the image with a either Adobe photoshop or Ulead photoimpact, I believe they were better. Compared to images also shot with a 4 MP camera, there was only a difference when magnified.
Hard Krome Slash-Cut Staggered Duals Exhaust System Visually stunning in looks and performance; a combination of classic beauty and cutting edge. Doublewall technology. Feature large 2.5n++ diameter dou...
