Pros: Low price for 3+ Mega pixels; Comes with a charger and AC adaptor Cons: Extremely complicated controls and settings; Instruction manual VERY poorly written; Maybe it's an experimental model.
JVC has always had a good reputation for quality, but maybe this is their first digital camera. I've owned the camera for only one month, but I have spent twice as much time reading the manual as using the camera.
Pros: Several Different Modes Available with excellent quality photos and videos Cons: Battery "Pig", and too many involved steps to the finished product.
JVC GC-QX3HD is a camera I Love and Hate.
Main Features: 7.5-17.5 mm motorized Zoom Lens (F2.8/3.8,5.6,8,11), Flash, Manual Mode, Video Mode, Still Mode. The camera also has a Video/HD output, Printer Output, USB...
Pros: Great for posed pictures,
Good quality pictures.
Quick review time of pictures Cons: Takes time to set up for low light pictures,
Battery does not last very long
This camera does take time to learn to use. So far it is Durable and I have enjoyed using it. Although i have had problems with taking pictures indoors or outside where there is low light. It seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes they are good and...
Pros: Lots of features, Manual mode, Compact, $$ Value, 3.3 Megapixels Cons: Proprietary battery, short battery life, menus difficult to get around
Not found in the top 10 this odd-ball actually has a lot of advanced features normally only found in professional models. The 3.3 Megapixel CCD yields pictures that print nice and clear right up to at least 8.5 x 11 - the largest my printer will do....
Pros: Quality large images, medium size Cons: Self-defeating thumb scroll power/mode button kills battery regularly
I have used this camera for over 6 months now in all situations, from snowboarding, to hiking, to kayaking. Overall, this JVC camera takes reliably stunning images. Shots pointed directly toward the sun or with bright sun behind a cloud will wash out if...
Pros: Great Options, Video Feature, Small, Easy to Upload, Easy to Upgrade Memory Cons: Very poor battery performance
For months I wanted a digital camera. I was really tired of buying and developing film, then scanning in my photos. I bought this JVC by chance at a local Best Buy. It has turned out to be a gem! I chose the JVC because of its name, I trust the brand....
Pros: Great features/modes, high resolution, color fidelity, excellent metering Cons: Size is larger than film P&S, battery life is zapped way too quickly
I got my camera from the discount rack at a substantially reduced price. I am a professional photographer, but had not delved into digital photography. I bought this for casual, family kind of shooting, and it does that job fairly well.
Pros: Small design, light weight design, viewfinder Cons: power hungry, small LCD
I purchased this camera on a super sale, and only paid 265.00 for it. There were no directions, nor the disk for the driver. I downloaded it from their site.
PROS:
1. Very light compared to others that I was looking at.
Pros: It's small and has many functions, and the discs hold a lot of pictures. Cons: It is expensive because it is a relative novelty, and do not get it wet.
JVC-MODEL GC-QX3
When I first got my camera it was new on the market, and we paid $900.00 for it at a discount store, which carries electronics goods as well as other things like furniture, and appliances. I thought as a travel agent, it...
Pros: Very reputable brand name Cons: The worst of all digital cameras in 3.3 Megapixel
Just got this camera from Bestbuy and returned the next day. The first day I shoted indoor and outdoor with the worstest results from a digital camera I ever got. Pictures were too black and color poor. Even with 3.3 megapixels the resolution is very...
Pros: high performance, low cost Cons: Scarce, hard to get.
The GC-QX3 from JVC is a relatively low cost, high performance digital still camera. It has a base resolution of 3.3 mega-pixels with the ability of doing a 6.0 mega-pixel image. It is easy to use. I figured the basic functions out in less than 10...

This camera was easy to use. Took vary good pictures. Easy to download pictures to your computer. The one con is that the battery didn't last as long as I hoped.
I've owned my GC-QX3U for... by fotoboy_dt3000 ,Oct 26 '02
I've owned my GC-QX3U for about a year and a half and am generally satisfied. I've taken several thousand pictures with it. It has been reliable except for high-humidity-related temporary malfunctions. It makes sharp 8X10s; macro function makes great closeups.
I have had 3 of these camera's. When they work they are excellent
But, I have found them to be unrealiable. I have had to return or repair all that I have had.
The Iris stuck closed on 2 and the ccd went out on the other. I wound up selling
the last one JVC's service was slow. This Camera is now discontinued. JVC had to replace a defective
QX3U with a QX3HD because they could not replace or repair mine.
I would stay away from this camera.
