Pros: Good sound, looks, price and features. Cons: Mine broke and will took 2 weeks to repair, remote kinda cheesy
(4-4-02 UPDATE: received unit last week from repair shop, and has been fully repaired. Glad to have it back and happy again. It was 2 components on the "secondary board" which were replaced, a resistor and a capacitor as I recall.)

I have to get this out of the way first: I happen to like Harman Kardon. A LOT. My dad used to run a stereo from them from since before I was born, so I grew up on their amazing sound quality and range.

We got this receiver when we signed up for 3 yrs of an online service ($400 store credit at the store) it makes movies sound great! Especially DTS coded DVD's but it still brings VHS to life. Even The Simpsons are in surround sound!
